Hi, my texture were working fine on my model (using Mopaq paths), but on my latest model, an error comes up, that it couldnt find the archive, and no textures are showing on the moedl. Please help!
Could you please provide more info? Make a screen of your import editor folder path. Also, how models look on preview and after being imported in editor. Also, what textures you're using (.dds or .tga)?
Also, describe what you do step by step, to get your model from max to editor.
Here are the export folders, the previewed model, and the model in-game.
How i'm exporting it: 1) I open ScII Art tools menu-> I press export floater-> tick Use Mopaq Paths-> and then press export -> Then I open Galaxy Editor->Import->To: Assets
There's inner folder structure in the Import editor, you understand it? You didn't show the screen of it, so you better do. Cause I want to make sure that the textures are inside Assets/Textures folder.
Also, after you import you model and textures, you need to save the map and close the editor, and open it again. Otherwise, it may not work even if everyhing is in correct places.
@Zolden: Go
Yes they are.
Yes I restarted it, still the same.
Yes, i see it textured without the Mopaq paths, but somebody told me that others wont be able to see them if I leave it unchecked.
EDIT: It's weird. I restarted the editor, textures unchanged. Got away from the computer for an hour, reopened editor editor to test stuff, and voila...textures are showing. I have no idea what's happening.
Without Use Mopaq Paths, the exporter will assume local paths on your computer. They'll work for you, but no on else, since they don't have those paths.
As for reasons why it may not work despite all that, any objects in the scene that don't have a material assigned to them get exported in Export, but not Preview, so that inconsistency can end in tears.

@Zolden:
Sorry for the late answer: I use .dds textures.

Im not sure if this is what you are asking for, but here:
restarted the editor after import?
are they the exact textures you defined for its material?
can you see this thing textured when you don't have that mopac path checked and press "Preview" in export floater?
