I'd like to see someone model and texture a ground-based Selendis. No rigging/animation is required, as I can do that myself. Shouldn't be too hard for you intrepid 3d artists =P
A ridiculously simple solution would be take the selendis model, then take a presever model and you know... torso on legs.. btw, selendis torso is has holes, non-manifold mesh. It'll take a few minutes to fill them in.
Actually, holy crap, blizzard really just made the model to be viewed from the front. Things are overlapping everywhere... Screw it, just ignore the overlaps.

Even simpler! Dont request it!, Just kidding, Thats a nice picture though. Shes kinda pretty.

You could just import a female draenei model from WoW and then erase the face.
Too bad Blizzard dont really have a whole campaign model of her, i believe there is a full Mensk model somewhere in the files if anyone saw the "Making of SC2" DVD, so it might be for her aswell. (Shrugs)
Anyway, using that artwork someone with a bit skills in 3d modelling could come up with something, or just use the base of a Dranei from WoW, but i think it might be easier to just do the whole skeleton from scratch instead of removing half the model.
note: only coming with suggestions here, as i suck in 3d modelling myself :(
This would be awesome, and as much as I'd like to do it myself I don't think I have enough 3D modeling expertise to pull this of the way it should be pulled off. Might give it a try in some time unless noone else has done it.
Ha, funny you should request a selendis model. im currently making one.
So far i have her upper torso on a zealot model. looks like she has thunder thighs. ill post the model when im done, should be a day or 2 (or maybe a week... depends on my mood).
Couldn't have said it better myself. The most I can offer is a low poly one that can be used in game. It'll take a while though as I'm editting and texturing three other things at the moment.
Can be but i dont think thats awesome chick with man legs. better make brand new legs on it. But what is the use of a high poly model for sc2? second person shooter ?
A low poly model might be easy todo but also takes time. but less than the fully high poly model.
I dont thing high poly isnt work modelling it will probally included in the new Expansion
I'll gladly take a low poly. It is for a Third Person Shooter, which I'd prefer a high poly for, but I'm not picky. Somewhere down the lines I imagine a high poly one will show up.
The portrait model isn't exactly high poly either. The parts that uses uneeded faces is the dreadlock and ornaments on her head. Remove those and there shouldn't be much of a problem.
As for the legs, i guess some pain staking scultping and massive retexturing.
A high poly one will show up in two years, from blizzard. Humanoid or organic models are ALOT harder then robots or ships,

Robot Legs FTW
You could just import a female draenei model from WoW and then erase the face.
Who ever does it could probably use the portrait as a base, then simply add legs, and remove the background.
I actually would also really really like this if you don't want to keep it to yourself.

I laughed when I read that.

Are you wanting a low poly (Melee) or high poly (Story Mode) model?
A high poly model could be easier if you take the portrait and merge it with Zeratul's lower body for example, then of course edit.
Both actually, even though I plan on reusing the existing portrait anyways.
Glad to see there's interest and some progress out there though!
I'd like to double the request for a high-poly variant.
I can't animate or rig, though. :)

I dont think someone wanto release a high poly model of a Character for public use. It takes months to create for a perfect result.

The portrait has the whole upper body, Cant the zeratul legs be grafted on the upper body?

That they are. I wish I could do character modeling... 10 years in modeling and I still can't do ships right, yet. :)
