ZigZag TD
Zig-Zag Tower Defense
A multi-player tower defense map over a zig zag path. You have 20 lives and each time an enemy reaches the end you lose one. Lose them all and it's game over.
Features
- Supports up to 4 players (multi-player not yet tested)
- 20 levels of enemies including 2 boss levels.
- 8 towers. 11 upgraded towers. 10 research upgrades.
- 2 difficulty levels (Normal and Hard)
- Enemy kills gain you resources to build more towers. In multi-player everyone gains resources from killing so it doesn't matter who kills them.
Towers
- Missile Tower. Standard tower with very minor splash damage. Bonus damage to shields. Can be upgraded into EMP Missile Towers which only damage shields.
- Crystal Laser Tower. Does significantly more damage after focusing on a target for 3 or more seconds. Has bonus damage against massive units
- Dragon Tower. Flame splash damage tower. Does bonus damage to Light units.
- Scorpion Tower. Single target high damage but very short range. Bonus damage to biological units.
- Support Tower. Detects cloaked units and can be upgraded to towers which buff your other towers.
- Interceptor Tower. Launches 5 interceptors which do bonus damage to mechanical units. Very long range.
- Nuke Tower. Large area affect tower with huge damage. Needs to be manually fired, has a cooldown and needs energy.
- Temporal Tower. Slows enemies in a radius around itself.
Feedback wanted! Made lots of changes this version. Will go to version 1.0 soon once this version is balanced.

Features being worked on
- More buff towers and cool effects.
- Always trying to balance the towers and make it challenging.
Yeah I plan to reduce the incoming on impossible since you do get more resources because there are more enemies.
Other towers will get buffed, trying to avoid nerfing the missle tower at least.
Pass the impossible mode with perfect clear !!!! Impossible mode just hard on stage 19 compare to hard mode, other stage r easy clear coz impossible mode got more money. Btw i just build missile tower, crystal tower n slow tower. Other tower r totally useless n waste money.
I was playing on hard but managed to beat it without losing a single life. My tactic wouldn't be possible without the use of the nuke.
Will try to beat impossible to day. You did a really nice job. I played nearly every TD up here and i enjoyed your's by far the most :).
Was this on impossible difficulty? Glad to see someone use the nuke at least, didn't think it was worth it but apparently it has it's uses!
Map is pretty easy to beet. Get Nuke right at the start as fast and as centered as possible. Now get 2 Rockettowers on the bottom lane. As soon as possible 2 more rocket towers. Build them exactly in the middle of the lane and always keep a distance of 2 slots (1 full tower).
Now just build mass lasertower + 1 slow tower + 1 command aura tower at both corner.
Always kill the small units using the nuke.
At the end i had nearly the whole map plastered with the laser + slow + command aura combination and absolutely no problem beating it. As soon as the small queens show up focus them down one after the other and nuke all the small spawnlings at the same time.
Finally released a new version! Quite a few changes, no new levels as I think the game is long enough as it is :P
Added the final towers I want and am currently balancing and polishing it but about time I released a new version here.

v0.9 hard mode perfect pass with one life no miss~
got around wave 13/14 i think lots of different tower well placed with tower support, but what's really annoying is the nullifier who disable your tower, the support tower range is nowhere enough to prevent that or too costly :( i always loose because of the nullifier :(
How far did you get? I am terrible at my own map sadly but a variety of towers usually works best though early on you should upgrade the tower you build most of and make sure to get as many towers buffed with the support tower as you can.
Can't pass 0.9 in normal mode :/ if someone got tips :)

Latest release is very untested so may be impossible to complete :P" loooooooool v0.7 is more harder then v0.9 !!! v0.9 i just play 2 time normal n hard mode n 2 time also one life no miss complete the mission. But v0.7 i just can kinda pass the normal mode and the hard mode is impossible to pass >.<
I published my map on battle.net as best I could anyway. You can find it in Europe at least by just entering "Zig" into the search field and hitting enter.
There is no way to browse public maps which is stupid. It should work if you try that and for some reason it insists there are 2 teams which I can't seem to change.
Good idea, I will see if I can fit a message before they appear.
Great TD, well polished for a map that can't even be published on battle.net yet. Only annoyance I had was when those Disrupters I think they were called came out and raped me. Wasn't prepared for all of my towers going offline, so I'd suggest something of a pre-round tip informing the player of them. Unless it was shown and I didn't notice it, or you were aiming for a surprise factor which worked out quite well.
Other than that great work, and I look forward to seeing future updates.

That is just debug for me, but I left it on in one of the versions....
Great map !
But i don't think showing flying damage numbers on the unit is that handy you cannot read them at all when unit are packed and / or when you have alot of tower, and it make the map very laggy especially in hard mode when the waves are bigger.

i felt the crystal tower kinda useless, i just build 5 for defend the tank boss n mass missle tower. Btw new version missle tower range have 13, i think this make the game more easy. Coz the second coloum first btm slot missle can hit till the first lane.
I tried to record my replay to a movie through camtasia but fail, like i print screen n paste to paint, all black.
I plan to revert the Crystal Towers to not doing instant damage again, just that I had some issues with the lasers not showing straight away if they didn't. Or at least do very little damage initially.
It doubles damage? It was giving it the 20% damage buff when it shouldn't actually but wasn't double, I guess that is what you mean :P
Fixed that too.
Solo (normal), was pretty easy, although i just used the crystal towers, as they rapidly change target and deal damage if they make a killing blow. The Shield tower aura doubles damage, which is probably not intended found that out last few levels. heh i didn't even realize there were upgrades at the nexus at the top. the first levels were harder, but it tended to get easier as time went on, although the immortals were tough, leaked a few of them, ended with 12 lives.
