Yet Another Build Order Tester (YABOT)
Introduction
This project is series of standard 1v1 Blizzard maps adapted to include a sophisticated build order testing system. The goal is to execute the chosen build while keeping up worker production and creating the largest army possible. The AI will execute a given build order or execute a random one. At the end of the round, you are given a score which tells how well you executed the build. Also included is a "Freestyle" mode, which monitors your play and displays the build order that you performed.
After playing a freestyle, you can open your bank (save) file at My Documents/Starcraft II/Banks/YabotSettings.SC2Bank in a text editor to see the encoded build as a single line of text. This text can then be decoded and edited at sc2builds.com

@prrrrrrra: Yes! We are currently working on a web-based encoder tool that does not use Silverlight. We hope to have it finished in a few weeks.
Hi, thanks for Yabot. I'm interested in implementing an platform independent build order editor (maybe online, will see) since I don't use windows and cannot (don't want to) use silverlight. So, are you planning something similar? Just wanted to check that out before I start. :-) Thanks
Yeah, I agree with CaLeDee. The AI seems to be able to see the whole map. I used the givemeopponentsvision cheat code and I saw the AI moving to a remote base I set up, without even using a single unit to scout. Also as soon as I lifted my base away, the computer immediately pulled away its army. There was no way the AI could have seen me lift away my buildings at that far of a range.
I think the AI's ability to see what you are doing makes it more difficult than it should be. Maybe something could be done about that.
Stimupgrade doesn't reset on Lost Temple YABOT
Thanks for the update, I sure will check for bugs. And make ticket if found one.
Cheers!!
@CaLeDee: Thanks for the comments. If you don't mind, please post these as Tickets (link at the top) so that I can keep track of the current bugs. I think I know what happened with the Scrap Station bug but not sure what would cause the stuck mouse one.
Some issues I've had with 1.0 so far.
-Probes on Scrap Station go through the destructible rocks to get to opponents base when scouting
-When the round ends I can't choose to continue or restart as my mouse is stuck in the middle of the screen and I have to Alt+F4 to exit the game. (This may have been a one off? Only tried one game so far)
I'll post more if I find any.
Is it just me or does the Green Tea A.I know exactly what I'm doing at all times? It's kicking my ass^^
Man this map is so great! I love it because it so challenging and there are so many build orders to test. I can't wait until a new update comes out with even more build orders!
Good for newbies and players seeking new build orders. Thanks for the map, can't wait for the update.
Hey,
Can't wait until you release 1.0. Got to love the uber awesomness of this trainer. When you going to release 1.0 guys?
Sincerely, Virt
@MasterJan7: Take a look at the first video I posted (the bottom one) to give you an idea how the map works. Basically, you choose a build order (when to build different structures and units) to practice from a list of known ones. Learning one of these build orders can greatly improve your skill with Starcraft 2. The build order will say something like, "at 9 food supply, and 100 minerals, build a supply depot". The closer you get to actually doing that, the higher your score will be.
hi, i am a newb, and i was wondering what this is map is for? I have a hard time following what the description is saying...
Is the map simply an advanced AI that I can practice against? Is it a map for me to figure out whats the best way to make a build? What does it mean it gives me "score on how well you executed your build" ?
Thanks for your patience.
@NuclearNuke: Is this because you mined out previously? If so, this will be fixed in the next version.
@TitCriss: I believe this is due to a bug where after Green Tea takes over, it stops mining the gas. Currently looking into fixing this...
Hi, the Green Tea AI is a good idea but the AI will never do the attack waves. For example if I choose the computer to do the fast DT he will never do them. He will just attack with zealot and stalkers or sentry if I haven't kill him before this. I will use this new version only for the AI but I will use the older one for the attack waves practice.
I have no minerals !
You are the man dude...just about all the things i wanted you to put in have become a reality...I want to say sorry for being a little bit critical, But shit dude you obviously took it all seriously...So my hats off to you for being Godlike...You are the Man....wow...I suppose all that is left is bugs...I will let you know if i find any...
The upgrades for zerg banelings is missing from the upgrade option in configuring waves, Centrifugal Hooks.
Hey everyone, I enabled the forums so if you have anything you want to discuss, please post there instead. Thanks :)
oh ok thnx i got the site to work now. :D
