I'm brand new to modelling, and I'm using blender. I thought it would be easy to create a simple model for Starcraft 2 but it is much more involved. I'm interested in creating models from scratch so looking at your wraith model might help me in my quest, to see what parts go into it, how to apply dds textures and link them correctly, what mesh object types to use, so on and so forth.

I do have a couple questions about texturing, like how do you know where on your texture square to put the right texture, for example, the thruster casing versus the wings texture, is there some sort of system to help you get this right or is there guesswork involved on what texture piece is placed in relation to another on your dds?
Also I assumed the normal dds would be the basic texture, but the diff dds texture appears to be the basic texture, and the normal texture is an orange alpha texture with rainbow alpha texture pieces. How do I know how to treat each texture layer?
Hello Ziaorobear, I am having trouble with the texture of your model, it's showing up has a bright ultraviolet purple in sc2 editor.
