The mysterious Narud Corporation has recruited you as a Bounty Hunter for reclaiming the last Xel'naga Relics in a forgotten world. You are not alone tought, The Swarm, the Moebius Foundation and the Tal'darim fanatics are already fighting for the relics. On top of that, many others adventurers from all the galaxy follow the same objetive, and they'll have no mercy.
Features:
-6 Heroes to choose from. More to come.
-Level your hero up to level 12, with 7 multiple level skills to choose from.
-Recruit mercenaries for your cause with the mineral you gain. 3 different mercenaries unlocked at different levels, the Marine, the Medic and the Scientist (can see invisible units and search for nearby relics).
-Each game is different with random enemy positions, relics spawns, optional objetives (34 different right now) and path blockers.
The game ends when all the relics have been reclaimed (4 Small, 2 Large and 1 Artifact). The hero with more Narud Reputation will win the game. You win reputation the following ways:
-Reclaiming Relics.
-Completing optional objetives.
-Killing other heros.
-Killing enemy units.
WORK IN PROGRESS
-Pretty much all the quest text is placeholder.
-The terrain has work to do, probably around 80% done.
-Some stuff will probably still be in Spanish. Nothing important I hope.
-Probably some English text will be in Spanglish. My English is far from perfect, if you wanna make some corrections/suggestion, feel free.
I just tested this map alone for about 25 minutes. It was nice :) Maybe by multiplayer it would be really fun :)
Siaon, in the editor you say? Maybe is a language problem, take a look at the triggers if you see them ok.
DuckyTheDuck, thanks for trying it, but remember is a multiplayer game, is not the same playing alone. Today I'll do a test again at 19:00, I'll invite you if you are online.
Terrain and the factions' struggle is still a work in progress. Factions get better near the end of the match.
Tried to run the map, but it gives me a syntax error at line 15.
--------------------Library:--------------------Function Declarations void lib1_gf_ (int lp_, unit lp_);Finally remembered to play it today (thanks to you xD). Well, first impression was good,I liked constant random quests, the need to use abilities to kill units in the beginning of game and ... probably that's it. Game was fun for first 10-20 minutes, after that it felt like something unfinished. But since this is only v0.35, I dare to hope that v1 will keep me playing for hours. Now then, time to list things that broke my mood:
1)My own fault for expecting too much, after reading description I thought that there would be 3 factions waging war and hunting for relics. I thought that they would have their own bases and outposts, that they would be a force to reckon with, but it appears they're there only for me to level up.
2)Terrain - it felt like some random unremarkable terrain that was there just because you can't have map filled with just one grassy texture. I understand that creating good terrain is hard, but the end result/impression it creates on player are worth it.
3)Skills/Mercs - I liked that lvl 10 hero with spells can be taken out by a pack of standard units, it feels right. I'd love to have more customization in what you can purchase. Perhaps add more different mercenaries/upgrades/items that could be purchased from Narud? Also, maybe have a different kind of resource given to you for relics/Narud missions which would act as currency for Naruds help?
Also, Novas skill submenu don't have a "return/cancel" button.
Well, I don't know if Narud is the head of Moebius Foundation, but that would be funny, was a joke, if you reverse Narud, you get the name of the most mysterious character from SC1.
Not exactly a helpful comment but.. Isn't Narud the head of Mobeus Foundation? Perhaps player should represent mobeus foundation while terran opponents would be Dominion?
I'll go play it right now.
