The Final Frontier is a complex space strategy map.

Fun fact, the map has 13700 line code, however I dont use galaxy.
Features:
-A completely open technology research system, with millions of combinations and a unique result every time.
-Map generator with randomly generated planets and stars based on H-R diagram. With this you will never play on the same map.
-Customizable space ships with 8 type of hull, weapons, drives, hull plating and shield.
-Time based alliance system, where both side have to agree in a pact.
-Focusable colonies on economy, production, research or mining.
-Unique ship building, where production time per ship is less if you build more ship. Also ships quality counts in the production time too.
-8 type of building for your colonies.
-3 custom resources, which you can only spend on other colonies, if you transport it with a transport ship.

I dont know if those names would work nice as those votes are increasing the planet amount linearly and I cant say standard amount to any of that as the right amount planets really depends on play style, amount of players and map size. Personally with the current balance 10 planet is more than I need.D
those votes increase planets amount by 30-40...
Yeah the map has no chance with this crap popularity system, but I hope that patch 1.2 with chat rooms will help.
I love you. You said you were going to improve dialogs. One thing i noticed is that your beginning dialogs for choosing planets and size and such seem kind of odd (in my opinion, I don't mean to be harsh).
You have Insane, lots of, many, normal, few, rare amounts of planets. I don't mind it as it is, but perhaps my suggestion could help improve it.
Perhaps something along the lines of:
Exponentially Increased (Many), Above Average, Standard, Below Average, Exponentially Decreased (Or few would work here), Rare,
Of course, it is fine as is, that's just my two cents.
And on a side note, seeing as this will be extremely hard to gain followers with in-game, I'd like to make a list of NA server players who would enjoy LONG, FUN "Final Frontier" games with me. I'm usually on from 5-10PM PST, if anyone has time and would like to join me, please post here! Thanks :D
All is left to make dialogs a bit nicer (adding images to them), add more planet models, fix fleets and than adding the beginner guide system.
After that 1 big test run + making a new video and than release.
I am 100% sure that I will release the map before Friday.
btw transport route is my first trigger which worked out almost perfectly for first try!
About how much longer? I just can not wait till it is done!

which weapons do you want to see? I was thinking about battlecruiser ats battery, raven torpedo and colossus attack beam with pointing only one place and beam isnt moving.
I think I will release the map at next week. Both on US and on EU.

I added 3 capturable objects.
repair station: + health regen
ancient obelisk: + mineral income / tick
deep scan station: long sight range (I might add weapon to this)
If anybody has other idea for capturable stuffs than plz share it with me.
+ I am adding random stuffs in the space. (like asteroids)

I have a bunch of ideas, so I'll share a few with you.
In order to have people make a fleet, I suggest you incorporate space pirates in the early game. They could find out that no fleet is protecting planets in that area, so they send more and more pirates. Perhaps they could even capture surrounding planets and such, limiting the player's advancement if they wait too long. Of course, if someone attempts to rush and get a huge fleet, the pirates might deem them a threat and send bigger and more powerful ships to attack them. The map load delay is acceptable for a map as epic as yours. I doubt it will flourish under the current popularity system, but I'm going to gather a small group of 5-10 people to play 3-5 hour games ^^
I have more ideas, but I'm watching MLG and can't spend too much time. I have you added on MSN, but I haven't seen you on. If you get on msn, I'll give you some more ideas!
After some testing. It become obvious that map lacks in battle motivation.
So any idea is welcomed, how to motivate people to make units even early on.
My idea is to add capturable stuffs, which gives bonus vision, has some attack dmg and also give other bonuses like mineral income. I was going to add this anyway, but now I see the maps really needs it. Any idea welcomed what should these units do (I already searched the models), also should it be capturable by staying near it or killing x% of its hp.
Also I was looking into why did I reach the trigger size limit. I counted 165k variables and 12500 lines of trigger (91 trigger). So triggers take out about 2/3 of the map. (all variables types has almost the same size)
After some deleting I figured out that my dialog item triggers take up the most place, So I will work on that.
Btw this map takes 100 seconds to load in the editor for my computer. (for other maps it takes less than 10sec)
i think there was something called squad command there was a vid about it on u tube allows u to move all units with movement of just one (forgot exact name D:)
I am having problems to make fleet really work. Its hard to trigger them to move together... Any idea welcome what should I do. (If I wont be able to do it I will probably make that you can turn 5 ships into hero and they will have special abilities.
I am not removing any trigger but my triggers can be more size efficient if I want. Also I usually have bigger variables than I need...
blizz said theyll increase max trigger size soon TM. also what triggers will u remove ?
AAAAAAAAAAAAARSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I have less than 1% trigger space left from the 2mb. I hate you blizzard:D (I will have to work again on making my triggers lower....)
