Vendetta
Like my first map, this is a single player scenario in anticipation of and inspired by Blizzard's campaigns. Fairly straight-forward- you command the Zerg against a Terran/Protoss coalition. The Trigger work is fairly simple; terrain work is my strong suit.
There may be a bug with the enemy not sending attack waves which seems to be caused by playing the map via the "test document" function of the galaxy editor. Until release or I publish, the work around seems to be to drag the map icon onto your sc2 exe icon. Thanks to Ultraling for this tip.

I just played the latest version - feels good. :]
It's not difficult in the current version, but I know you said there'll be harder difficulties coming in the future.
You just need to be on top of your Creep Tumours from the beginning so that you can quickly spread it all over the map. It's great for spotting incoming attacks by ground, as well as giving your troops the mobility to respond quickly.
The expo in the middle of the map is fairly defensible. Once you take it, all attacks seem to go for that expansion, so you don't need to worry about your main base, except for Red's Reapers, and that can be dealt with by just leaving a few Roaches at home.
All-in-all, I had fun :). Like you, I'm hankering for some singleplayer action, so thanks for making a fun map which plays like a campaign mission, as opposed to the more 'funky' maps which are 3rd-person shooters and whatnot.
Sometimes, you just want a good old-fashioned 'destroy all enemies' mission, although in future, I think it'd be interesting to see maps like this, but with more scripted events happening throughout and some curveball objectives, if you're up to it :].

Give this version a try, guys. If it's too easy now, remember that there will be two higher difficulty levels come release.

ya if you make the waves a bit easier then i wold love this. i really like it all reedy even tho its hard as fuck.
Maybe slow down the wave rate by like 15 seconds... otherwise new players will never make it past the first 5 waves.
that's the order per color, yes, but its supposed to stagger like:
red: reapers
grey: hellions
teal: archons, zlots, sentries
red: banshees
grey: tanks, vikings
blue: rays
grey: thors, marines, medivacs
teal: immortals, stalkers, colossus
blue: carriers, phoenix
In my latest version though (uploaded now) I put a few air AA units in each base to keep you from being able to steamroll them with a few broodlords. Should alleviate the cheese factor hopefully.
As I recall, attack orders went R:Reapers<->Banshees B:Void Ray<->Carriers + Pheonix T:Zealots+Archons<->StalkerColossusImmortal LB:Viking+Tanks<->MarineMedi+Thor. Is this bugged?
Pkol, would you be willing to try out my changes to http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/dreadwind-plateau/ to see if the enemy's still not attacking? I added testing cheats to make it go faster which you can enable and read in the trigger editor.
Not sure about the lag. Wonder if this editor has memory leaks like wc3's did.
Again, nice map! but a little too easy as they didn't attack me at all :(
Also, both your maps seem to lag my computer something ferice.
@ Rogue- I tried to duplicate your strat and while broodlords do indeed level all but blue's bases, the 10 remaining corrupters + roaches weren't nearly enough to hold off attacks. Did you have a ton of spore/spine crawlers? If not, I can only conclude the attack wave bug was the culprit.
I hope you rearrange the AI so that one faction only attacks with air or ground, not both. Ground distance is too spread to manage all the attacks on the expos. My second try, I didn't even get hydras, nor did I get expos. Just roaches to defend main and made 16 corruptors which 6 of them became broodlords. Won under 20 mins.
argh, i'm getting all kinds of flaky attack wave behavior on my maps. i dont know if its a glitch or what, but i dont personally encounter it when testing them.
I don't know if this is a bug or not but they wont attack for a few mins like 7-12 mins different every time I try when its only 7 mins there is small attack forces but when its 12 mins there is a massive force of Protoss ground and air and Terran air and ground with Thors, tanks, and banshees, protoss has void rays and , and all ground units.
Again don't know if thats a bug or not but other then that the map looks great
