Overview

This is an extension mod that adds a fourth playable race to the game: the Infested, Terrans that have been horribly mutated by the Zerg virus. Harness this power for yourself, bring your foes low with debilitating statuses and diseases, and overwhelm them with your regenerating hordes of troops.

The Terrans now start with an Outpost instead of a Command Center. Morph this Outpost into a Command Center to play normally as the Terrans, or instead morph it into a Mound to play as the Infested.

This mod is an exercise in adding an additional faction to the game, with the goal of roughly balancing it relative to the Protoss, Terrans, and Zerg. Please play and leave your impressions. Thank you!

This mod is published as an Extension Mod under the name "The Infested - A Fourth Faction".

NOTE: This mod is still in development. Do not count on the AI working correctly when playing against this faction, particularly if the AI is Terran. Please play against other players if you can.
