Station Assault (working title)
You control a Zealot that can summon 6 interceptors (timed life), a high Templar (medic), and two images of himself. you fight you way past enemy armies and bosses (no story yet, there might be one at some point). wasd movement, click attack, and mouse look (3rd person)
- Shift: sprint
- Left click: attack
- Right click: mirror image
- F: scanner sweep
- E: summon interceptors (timed life)
- Q: summon healer
- Spacebar: reset camera -stuck: type in chat to return to last checkpoint

you have to divide your time between the spine crawler and the lings to prevent this from happening, that's kinda the point. don't forget to use your abilities, they make it alot easier.
Tried v0.9, can't kill the spine crawler in the beginning. It continuously spawns zerglings, I think at one point there were so many zerglings, that I couldn't see the ground all around the spine crawler. Zerglings aren't strong, but I couldn't attack the spine crawler cuz of this.
If you want to help with this map whether its making a story, doing triggers, or making the map look better, just ask because I'm trying to make this map as good as possible and having more people working on this will really help.
@Internetninja Stalker thing was intentional, the power-ups are actually a really big help especially in the endgame, thanks for the tip about too many doodads I removed some.
btw next ver will have something you might like based on what you said :)
@rakyn87 you should only be able to have 2 groups of interceptors at a time (the lifespan is around 2 seconds longer than the summon cooldown) and they move around alot so you should be able to get to the boss, unless you're talking endgame and you just spam interceptors on the bosses, which is your choice.

when i launch the game sometimes the instructions dont all show up... like it skips throught hem really fast then it just shows and leaves it on the last few instructions for me...
also at the end i chose the all bosses at once (drone i think it was). was kinda tough, but when i kinda fudged it and just ran it, casted images and interceptors then ran back out , back and forth, it was pretty easy. i took out some of the weaker bosses first and that helped too.. think the spine crawler was the first i went after
another thing i thought of,
since alot of the time to win fights u pretty much just spam ur mirror images/interceptors, there are so many on screen at once sometimes i cant get to the boss to hit it, the images get in the way ;p kind of annoying

Bounty_98 did that map, if you look I give him credit for wasd movement triggers, meaning he helped me out quite a bit, we both started our maps around the same time (mine is taking a bit longer cause I have more abilities and features) he know about this map and we PM eachother every once in a while.
Striking resemblance to Planetary Boss Fortress. Hm.
thanks for the feedback, I'm thinking of adding something like mana, but I'm not sure how I can do it exactly. the interceptors might get their health nerfed so its a bit tougher, but the images will probably stay the same seeing as how the enemy is not supposed to be able to tell the difference between you and them.
what do you mean by buggy? when I load the map it shows all of the controls and adds them as a tip that you can look at by hitting z and then f12

Just played thorugh this.
nice little map, one of the better rpg's out there, mostly because it works.
some suggestions to make it a more compelling game:
Difficulty. too easy. this is mostly due to the fact that when you use your mirror images or intercepts, monsters attack them instead, so u pretty much take no damage and can just sit there and wail on the bad guys.
maybe if you had some sort of mana pool or something, so u had to chose when to use the spells and not just spam them everytime they were up. make it so that u have like 20 mana points or something, mirror images cost X amount of mana, interceptors cost Y amount of mana, and each time u kil a monster u regain Z amount... just a thought, some sort of mechanic like this where u had to chose when to use these spells might make it far more compelling.
when the game starts and the controls are on screen, its kinda buggy. i had to look in the overview on mapster to find out the controls.
not being able to customize the character makes it a bit stale at time. instead of just saying, hey, you beat this boss, here you have this now! maybe you could chose what ability u get each time u kill a boss. again, just a thought to make it less linear and more customizable for a more individualized game experience.

Suggestion, fix the HUD. So the top bar is there, because not everyone knows the hot keys for it. So can edit graphics and exit game and pause without hitting Alt F4. Also the attack range for the ultralisks is too long they don't make contact. The interceptors make broodling sounds, and make broodling deaths, and if you keep mashing the any key you can spawn like 10,000 interceptors, images, scans or medics. The teleporting of the archon wasn't to clear i thought it was a glitch because i missed the text had to look at the triggers lol. . The health is glitched for the last spawns for the roach. I fixed a bunch of stuff for funnsies and if you want it ill Email it. But I'm not going to post it because its your map.
