STARCRAFT: Darkness Rises
GENERAL:
The project Darkness Rises has changed many times, and I have changed direction for the story, characters and so on, I don't know how many times. However, now the first mission stands ready for testing. I hope you will enjoy.
(I have released a mission that is not related to Darkness Rises, as a tribute to dawn of war. Sc2mapster won't let med create more projects...)

How to install
In the 0.2 version, there is a launcher included. In order for this to work the maps and mod will have to be put in the right locations.
1. Unzip the zip file.
2. Copy the starcraftII map file inside the unziped folder.
3. Open your sc2 folder. By default should be :
c: Programfiles/starcraftII/
4. Search for /Maps folder inside your starcraftII
5. Paste the DarknessRises folder in the Maps folder.
Don't forget to install the mods :
6. Open your sc2 folder. By default should be :
c: Programfiles/starcraftII/
7. Search for /Mods folder inside your starcraftII
8. If there is no /Mods folder create one and paste the mods file there
9. Open sc2editor, open DarknessRises folder and run mission launcher.
- (Nova dependencies are required!)
Story:
On the planet Eidolon 40 years after the defeat of Amon, Casey finds herself waking up in an abandoned building with no recollection of what has happened. The BioGen Corporation is hunting her and will use force if necessary. Casey must reach base camp and solve the mystery regarding her lost memory.

CHARACTERS
Casey
Casey came to Eidolon as a little kid. She was left there by her mother, and she has always recented her for it. Her father she only heard stories about. On Eidolon she found Marcus, a local mercenary leader witch took her in. Something happened on the last mission, but Casey can't remember what.
AZIMAR
Azimar is a Dark Templar prelate.
He dresses as a Lenassa warrior and used a warp blade in combat, at least before he lost his right hand Azimar was leading a warband of Dark Templar when they detected a tainting of the Void from half a sector away. The source was located on a barren world orbiting the dead star KL-2

I tried out the launcher and Casey mission.
Launcher is awesome. Looks good.
The micro/stealth mission was very fun. Love your aesthetics, they are very well done. Nice to have different parts where the hero gets different abilities, and standing still for stealth is an interesting mechanic in stealth missions. Looking forward to more:)

Is the project done?
Due to some bugs in mission 4 och the prolog. I´ve decided to take down map 2-4 to try to fix them and look over the rest of the maps.
Mission 1 will still be up and if you want to try my custom faction, mission 5 (tutorial) will also be available.
The Field Medic has the ability to Heal wounded units or highjack enemy mechanical units, what will you choose?

The first mission of the main campaign is ready. No launcher is aviable yet.
I am planning to release the first map in the campaign soon. It takes place 30 years after the prolog.
Bugs fixed and changes coming in the next version :
Mission 2:
- fixed a bug that made the bonus objective unable to complete.
- Fixed the pathing for escort units.
- Fixed color of the ping that indicates where the civilians spawn from.
- The civilian is now neutral with vision. So that they are easier to follow.
- Fixed misspellings.

Meet the Eradicator. A mobile defense and offense unit. While immobile the Eradicator can take out air units like a missile turret and while mobile dealing a good amount of damage to ground unit.

Bugs fixed and changes coming in the next version :
Mission 1:
- You can no longer kill Azimar, while controlling Xy´Tal in the final stage of the boss.
- Marcellus Buff aura nerfed.
- Attack waves nerfed
- Clarified location of the item gained when completing the bonus objective.
Tutorial mission 5:
- Command Center now has two rally points for workers and builders. (thanks dudkisc2).
- Workers have repair animation.
- Ui descriptions on several units fixed.
- Fixed buggy civilian portrait.
General:
- Some spelling mistakes fixed.
Known bugs:
- some buildings in the higher tier are lacking building animations - survivors faction
