Protoss Carriers will have the option to upgrade into Tempests. Inspired by the now canceled early Starcraft II unit. The Tempest has powerful shielding that can negate most ground to air attacks. However the shielding does not activate against air to air attacks. Leaving it vulnerable to air anti-air. Instead of interceptors the Tempest launches a new aerial unit called a Shuriken. This unit does not fire at range but does a powerful melee attack.
