Sc2 Project Descent
It's been a while since I updated the information on this project because I have been working on it on and off, however expect several updates within the next few weeks.
I will now be referring to this project as project Decent. The initial concept remains the same. I am attempting to create a custom melee game that is more like Warcraft 3. The current Alpha in development contains 5 core factions with unique meta game tactics, upgrades, and abilities. These factions include:
- Protoss Protectorate
- Tal'darim
- Terran Dominion
- Rebel Alliance
- The Swarm
After the release of HOTS and Blizzard All Stars I plan on adding addition factions and even races.
More information concerning this mod will be coming out soon when I post the like to my development blog and hopefully I will be able to put out an alpha on battle net as son as I gain access to the new heart of the swarm units etc.
If you guys can contribute any input into what you would like to see gameplay wise drop me a message in my inbox or post on this thread. My first development blog post will be about the Heroes and the changes of the roles of units in the Protoss Protectorate.
Current Completed heroes include:
Major Heroes
- Selendis (Zealot Hero)
- Zeratul (Dark Templar Hero)
- Artanis (Mothership Purifier Hero)
Special Support Heroes
- Khalenri Zealot
- Urun (Pheonix Hero)

Since you wanted to make it like WC3, then consider making the food cap and stats similar. WC3 was about micro, but if you keep the SC2 stats and food cap, then it is more macro-oriented and forces people to forsake micro for macro or vice versa.
On The Alliance, it sounds more like something from WoW , i suggest changing it to The Templa'ri(s) (Templar in protoss Language).
