SC2 Art of Defense
Use melee techniques to defend your base from waves of incoming attacks. Beat all the waves to win the game in Co-op mode or survive longer than the other team in versus mode. The tech tree is the same as a standard melee game but the cost and build time have been adjusted for a less macro intensive game.
Art of Defense map with the following features:
- Choice of Co-op, Versus, or Battle (currently with 6 players)
- Choice of starting resource (2x, normal, or half)
- Choice of difficulty: Junior (1 upgrade, 1.4x time between waves), Easy (1 upgrade, 1.2x time between wave), normal (2 upgrades and all teched), hard (3 upgrades and all teched)
- enemy units upgrade over time (base on difficulty)
- 50% build time for tier 1 buildings (excluding base defense + production buildings)
- 100% build time for tier 2 buildings (excluding production buildings)
- 200% build time and 200% build cost for tier 3 buildings (excluding production buildings)
- 50% build time for units
- 50% faster larva spawn time
- larva cap at 5
- 99 upgrades with increasing cost and build time
- 21 upgrades for Terran building armor, neo frame, and hi-sec missle
- upgradable base defense
- useable abilities in bunker for ghost and scv
- ability to load zerg units into the bunker
- multiple unit types in attack waves (unit mixture similar to those in melee games for stronger pushes)
- timer and unit type warning (with icons!) for upcoming wave
- attacking units uses abilities, and sweep scanner once in a while if you are cloaked or on the edge
- Terran and Protoss are able to build on creep (make the game more zerg friendly)
- Protoss able to chrono boost allies
- Resource Sharing Option
- Bounty for killing enemy units
- Scoreboard to show each player's unit kills
Things that are in progess are:
- Heroes (for players to build and as attack wave)
Any suggestions are welcome.
- The map is beatable on Normal/normal with all Zerg, Terran, and Protoss. (I did it myself)

I m pretty sure with someone like that, you guys woulda lost either way unless he left, but either way, i will take off targetting for friendlies.
Could you please make it so players cant attack each others units and buildings?
Because for some reason, in my last game, my allies decided to destroy mine and some other players units and buildings so that they could defend on their own.
I have turned share control off and i will fix the ghost issue tonight. Thanks for the feedback!

A few comments and suggestions: 1) There needs to be an advantage for being on higher ground. The automatic scan-sweep kinda ruins that, but I don't know if there is anything you can do about it. In essence, this problem makes it so co-op can't really be "co-op," since the middle is limited in size and holds no real advantage over building at your base. Maybe have a few detector heroes in each group that are harder to kill instead of the scan.
2) Give warnings for air, stealth, and cliff-jumping levels. I know there is a Preview window, but most people either don't remember to look at it or don't connect the dots fast enough.
3) Ghost levels have issues. Only a few of them attack, then the rest wander around until they get caught up in another attack wave.
4) Turn off auto-share control. I'm tired of noobs pulling half my units away on a suicide mission.
Overall, I love your map, and it is very difficult, but sometimes it's too difficult for a "normal" difficulty. I've beaten it twice, once in beta (Protoss) and another time tonight (Terran), and each time in co-op being the last survivor for 30+ levels...
The map is currently only in the NA region because I am making very frequent updates for it.

PhyzX1 where do u download this map since beta offline now? By any chance can u make hard it bit more harder like more upgrade to them or more of them because when i got 30 or 32 and up, i just like wipe them out quickly and feel like i playing normal.

im working on version 9 right now
i might reduce unit production time to 20%
I didnt want to make unit production instant because i want people to decide what they want to build in order to counter the current wave and also the next wave
theres a whole new terrain for the new version
haven't had much time to work on it because work and stuff
i will put up the new version when it's ready
Ooh ooh, i just thought of something. Check it out: You can set a trigger that you take all selected units then type message /all "Killallmen" and kills units selected to make different army for next wave. Alternatively you can add a UI button. also handy for breaking a wall or replacing a unit rather than blowing them up with your forces.
to be honest i cant remember. I was playing on Bnet when it was up and i forgot to log into the editor, download and save it for offline play. I wanna say .6 but... I might be thinking something else.

which version of the map are you playing?
PS: Your map is seriously unbalenced in the state of the upgrades. The creeps upgrade faster than can be kept up with. And the diminishing returns in time and money required to equal the armor of the buildings and units is terrabad. However, you can change the ratio of damage reduced per point of armor in the unit data settings. Further more you can drop the build time to instant on units so people can dump their units for a different attack wave. This method would allot for a better progression and still provide a semi realistic challenge without making stationary defense obsolete.
Can i get your current, im bored and i like your map. Theres no multiplayer OMG NO MORE BETA IM going mad and im so addicted.
