This map is a 256x256. It was originally quarter the size. It might be a little too big, but I won't know for sure until I see a full 12-player game in action.
The walls are only 1 cliff level high for the most part so as not to interfere with the camera, and are plain so as not distract the player. They are thin enough to not steal gameplay space, but thick enough to distance players in adjacent lanes.
Lanes & Orientation
There are 3 lanes. The center lane is a little wider than the others to mix things up a little, but the outer lanes are the same width for balance. There are also multiple zones per lane. There are 3 tiers, but in order to minimize space usage, all tiers use the same 3 lanes.
The lanes are vertically oriented, with the 2 teams starting at opposite ends of the lanes. I like the up-down feel, however it also feels too different playing as Team 1 vs Team 2. I tried flipping the camera for Team 2, but then the minimap is upside down... So, I will leave it as is for now.
