Quetzalcoatl
Team Liquid Thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=132877
Quetzalcoatl : a Mesoamerican deity whose name comes from the Nahuatl language and has the meaning of "feathered-serpent".
This map is based off of the idea that wit and skill will overcome any force of numbers. There are many paths to victory in this team-based map. Do you bunker down and tech for a direct assault across the temple? Or do you take a more sly, sneaky approach with smaller forces around the side to break into the enemy's shrine. With two associated temple expansions on the west and east sides of the map you have the choice. And just for kicks, get your enemies to send one unit to the middle sacrificial arena, bring your own warrior, and let there be blood.

Thanks for Sc2Mapster for making it easy to keep track of my many projects.
It always helps to critique and give praise to those who spend so much time on their maps, so whether it be my own, or another authors, please give them the insight they need, and encouragement to improve. Together we'll see some truly awesome high-quality maps come forward. Thanks.
Fixed a few mineral issues when rearranging them.
That looks awesome
Did just that. Made little areas more detailed to reward those exploring the map :)
Nice job, some more random doodads would complete this amazing map.
Thanks scrd. And no fel, im afraid not :).
I plan on adding a touch of jungle themed trees and doodads in a bit, just a hint however.
Obviously since the beta is down, no one can test maps right now. But with that aside, I love this map's originality and innovation. The tileset is PERFECT for a Mayan-style map. It's beautiful and natural, yet so geometric and intentional, you know?
I really like the locations of the Watch Towers, and the fact that there are SO many expansions is interesting. I wonder if this map would encourage expensive air units, like brood lords and battlecruisers. It should also be interesting because the natural expo isn't that obvious, and so the opponent would have to scout more often and worry about hidden expos.
Excellent map. I can't wait to try it out. :-)
You don't happen to be called Quetzacoatl on Bnet, do you?
