Original Poker Defense
The large update has now been published!
Poker Defence is a map that was very popular in SC1. I have remade it for SC2!
The idea is you get a poker hand and the better the cards are, the better the units you get. To improve the odds of getting better hands, cards 2-6 are not created and you may also swap each card out if you choose. Race based upgrades are used to increase the strength of your army and should be used whenever possible. Buy damage upgrades and unit upgrades from minerals gained based off your hand. Buy range and speed upgrades with the vespane gas received after boss rounds.
There are 50 waves including armoured, shielded, fast, mass and boss waves.

Ok so I kept trying, and this time I got 4 aces and no glitch. Weird...
edit: AND EVEN WEIRDER I just beat the first boss playing out this game and I didn't get vespene. ;( thats never happened before.
Ok I just restarted the game over and over again to see if I could replicate this and I did. If you get 4 aces on the first wave it floods the game with cards. It looks like it's triggering all the waves in quick succession because the right side of the screen is filled with multiple timers until the 'next wave', but no units spawn and you are flooded with cards.
edit: I was player one, playing by myself.
Ok looking into it. What player were you when this happened. Each player has thier own spawning region so if two people request a new card at the same time it doesnt bug and put them both at one player. I might have misclicked and have the wrong region for my request new unit trigger. Also what card/ cards started to over flow?
I'm using v1.6 that I just downloaded from here. It was my first hand and it was a bug like the one you described. More cards kept appearing and filling up the 'hand' area. The game would become unplayable. It happened a few times on the older versions as well I remember. It seemed to only happen really early on and when i get a collosuss. I remember because I'm always really happy and then sad.
Thors do more damage than marauders, their dps is higher. Remember they shoot thier weapon twice every time. The only issue with the thor is that on fast levels he cannot keep up without a little micro. Also i reduced the marauder slow. It lasts for only 1/2 the time.
Can you explain the card issue and if you were playing version 1.6?? Did you get a ton of cards overflowing in the card area. Like would have more than 1 card in each slot and then it starts spreading out? I know this issue happened in the OLD 0.6 version (i think that was the version) that became popular before i made a bunch fo bug fixes. I thought i had fixed it.
I've noticed if your first hand is 4 of a kind (ace high last time it happened), instead of waves of enemies you get tons of cards and it over flows forever. This has happened to me like 5 times now and it is really depressing because such a good hand so early on would be great. Otherwise love your game, wish it was longer.
edit: i got a 4 of a kind on the next game i played first hand and it didn't glitch. weird. also, why is the fullhouse so weak? it's better to just get 3 of a kind than that huge thor that barely does any damage and doesn't slow.
