Armed Conflict

Two modern armies clash over a strategic location. The aim is to capture and hold as much territory as possible.

The gameplay is regular RTS without the base building.

There's no mineral harvesting as the gameplay will be focused on the tactical combat above all else.

The objective of this map is to see how much of real life warfare can be replicated in the Starcraft2 editor.

For example, soldiers taking cover behind objects, and those objects being destructible. Soldiers in cover should be able to shoot from behind their cover, while incoming bullets would hit the destructible cover instead of the soldier.

Weapons become more accurate the closer they are to the target.

Weapons shoot projectiles that, if they miss, can still hit something (think of stray bullets).

Some heavy weapons need a setup time before it starts attacking.

Radar sensors and jammers and/or decoys.

Rough ground and other terrain features that affect a unit's mobility and/or vision.

Weather effects which can also affect a unit's mobility and/or vision.
