Metal Slug [Act 1]
Metal Slug [Act 1] is now RELEASED.

2 Player: Look up "Metal Slug [Act 1]" on Battle.net (US and EU)
This is the first part of a map series based off of everyone's favorite arcade side scrolling shooter, Metal Slug. Most of the game play is derived from the arcade version.
Please report any bugs you find. Let me know all the details about how it happened.

Default Controls:
D - Move Right
A - Move Left
W - Aim Up
S - Crouch
Space - Shoot
Up Arrow - Jump
Right Arrow - Next Weapon
Left Arrow - Previous Weapon
Down Arrow - Throw Grenade
All keys are customizable in-game.

update with 2 player, lots of bug fixes, and trigger optimization is almost done.

I found a bug in the viking part: here is an image. It is in italian, it says "error activating trigger gt_HPB etc" every time you take damage, also the health bar should be fixed (maybe the 2 things are connected, when the health goes down to the normal value, the error disappear
you cant jump from one train to the next until after the bomb goes off and budsmoken it may be your pc i get next to no lag running shittty saphire 1950gtx's almost 3.5 year old cards and only 1.5 gigs of ram
Found a bug with a cheat tank if your on the train the tank will fall through the train some times and you get stuck and hope there are some units that shoot down at you to kill you no way to get back up outher than die also had a problem i went through the game 7 times or so and all but 1 time when I was jumping from one train to the next until after the bomb goes off and kills you (sorry for the bad spelling)

i have to admit. the triggers are really clunky. but i have a lot of ideas to clean up the triggers so they run a lot smoother. like use functions instead and remove the periodic event triggers.
the problem is that key press triggers are just laggy in general... especially online... blizzard's network system doesn't handle key-press events very well.
i'm gonna test 2-player when beta comes back up... if its too laggy i dunno if i should release the 2 player version.
I have to admit this game is awesome. but why so much LAG LAG LAG
OMG. I hit over and it takes .5-.75 seconds before my guys moves.
I am running a GTX-280 so I know its not my computer. I would definitley focus on performance before you go much farther with it
hi pls somebody help when I start the map or any sc2 map made in editor, there is written this everywhere: Para/value (big number, eg. 0034442) what should i do?

i need you're guys opinion. should i do a part 2 of this map vs protoss? or are you guys tired of the gameplay?
also, i can't really fix the minor bugs just yet until my new laptop arrives. but when it does i'll clean up all the bugs for the final version.

Yea i remeber i killed that scv by accidne t so i got no weapon :(
i think i found a little bug: there is an SCV that is not set to invulnerable: it is in the last part when you are using the tank for the last time, on the background there are some hangars with units inside
Awsome game its addicting too bad its short cant wait for act 2 :D (when i played the second time when i fought the thor and died i respwaned at the begining and when i walked for a while i started walking up)
I removed the localized version and uploaded the unedited US version.
It should work.

I've been using xhatix's localizer every time I release a new version. If his program is working right it should be localized.
If not you can download his localizer and try it yourself.

Yeah I'm also getting the localization issues (Param) with the euro beta version...
PS: i think crouching is too strong. For exaple you can kill the first boss (thor) just by crouching right next to him and holding the shoot button.
