Metal Slug [Act 1]
Metal Slug [Act 1] is now RELEASED.
1 Player: Download the map and drag the file over your Starcraft 2 icon to play it LAG FREE
2 Player: Look up "Metal Slug [Act 1]" on Battle.net (US and EU)
This is the first part of a map series based off of everyone's favorite arcade side scrolling shooter, Metal Slug. Most of the game play is derived from the arcade version.
Please report any bugs you find. Let me know all the details about how it happened.
Details:
- 1 or 2 player
- Uses the Keyboard for control
- Avoidable Missiles with Jump or Crouch
- Easy, Medium, and Hard modes
- Unlockable Cheats/Weapons
- Customizable Key Binds
- 7 Unique Weapons
- 4 Missions
- 2 Boss Fights
- Drivable Tanks w/ 5-direction Machine-gun Turret
- Viking Dogfight Mission
Default Controls:
D - Move Right
A - Move Left
W - Aim Up
S - Crouch
Space - Shoot
Up Arrow - Jump
Right Arrow - Next Weapon
Left Arrow - Previous Weapon
Down Arrow - Throw Grenade
All keys are customizable in-game.

Posted Nov 20, 2010Let's tell a little story... 5 minutes ago I logged in to battle.net, clicked on "join custom game" and on "show more". I thought "WTF Metal Slug is the first game on page 2 O.O" =D 770 games in the last hour! And we have still the text bug on the EU servers =( Edit: It's on page 1 now :DDDD

Posted Nov 17, 2010dude a fighting game would be so awesome. maybe something more like super smash bros so i don't have to worry about kicks.
im trying to hammer out the last of the bugs but i'm soooo tired of playing it over and over and over and over. i swear i've played it completely at least 100 times.
if you guys could point out any bugs you guys find. that'd be awesome.

Any chance u get make a 2D side scrolling fighting arcade game like Street Fighters, Tekken, or Super Smash Brawl? I could totally see it happening with your pro map making skills.

Posted Nov 14, 2010for sure i saw that too. it has to do with the crouch. for some reason it sometimes makes two copies of the model.
the ghost thing i've known about. i'll try and fix that.

Posted Nov 14, 2010Not sure if you still got it but i have a bug with model swap i think. When crouching in ghost model, it return back to the war pigs. Also sometimes I see two exact model of the war pig moving at the same place.

2 Player over Battle.net doesn't work right. I'm gonna see if there's anything I can do to fix it first.
Until then you can download it and play it single player. That way you don't have to worry about the lag XD
