Patch History:
1.22
- Cleaned up UI so the game immediately becomes full screen after cinematics, instead of taking a second to clear the standard ui.
- fixed issue with opening hints on how to play not displaying properly.
1.21
- Adjusted several camera angles.
- Decreased bosses continuous machine gun damage to make fight more about avoiding the cannon fire.
1.20
- Added grenade launcher (right click to launch grenades, does less damage than rifle to single target but is efficient vs multiple enemies.)
- Tweaked movement system to be more responsive. (No delayed stop after you lift a finger from w,a,s,d)
- Shortened the length of some script segments before starting a new line below (trying to fix the common issue of text running off the screen)
1.10
- Boss fight now functions as intended. Dodge the targets to avoid the explosive damage. Tank will continuously shoot you with machine gun, machine gun animations aren't working yet (any help would be appreciated!)
- A few other tweaks, some doodads were slightly hovering and i sunk em into the ground.
1.01
- Removed "flee" option from Sheriff.
- Adjusted camera angle when hydra's spawn to better fit them in view.
when i test the document, all it does is put me in an rts view. how can i solve this? i have also tried dragging the map file into my sc2 desktop shortcut
It's not wanting to load for me, It gets about 80% done then crashes
I don't understand what the point of the boss' targeting thing is for... It just shoots at you anyway.
Pretty fun map. More fun that I've had with most of them.
One complaint I have with just about every map is the camera. Someone really needs to come up with a way to add collision detection to the camera or something, because I can never see what I'm doing. Also, the text in the cutscenes go off the edge of my screen; I guess it doesn't automatically word wrap when it reaches the end of the screen. I also kinda feel like the map has too many cutscenes, but I'm guessing this was more just to show off that you could do it.
Overall, an enjoyable map. Would love to see it expanded upon.
I love the storyline and the action but the camera view annoyed me, it would of been better if it was in a fixed position.
I'm not sure what's wrong with my game but every time I test any custom map I get Param/Value/89123931B instead of text... How do I fix this? : (
Haha I totally loved it. It was a little cheesy it reminded me of the missions at the end of Spore, but thats OK it was awesome. If you return to game instead of quitting at the end the sherrif goes and kills a random SCV :-p hah.
Thanks folks! Tell me what localized text is and how to impliment it and I may patch it in. I'm considering adding onto the map. Possibly extending its boundaries to add more towns and extend the adventures of the sheriff. Might also possibly add another attack or two (like grenades.) If i find the time.
Maybe you should try adding localized text?
Really nice!
very nice! would love to see more of your project.
Amazing for how short it is... just make it 50x longer. :p
Good fun. Very good demo of stuff you can do with editor. Very impressive. A bit short. Pretty easy if you run backwards and shoot forwards :)
