Legacy of the Confederation (Single Player Campaign)
Welcome to Legacy of the Confederation ("LotC")'s base of operations on SC2 Mapster. LotC first appeared in 1999 and 2000 with 21 missions for a primary single player campaign, fully voiced. A mini-campaign ("Fallen Angel") was created a couple years later. We have now resumed work on the LotC campaign for SC2
If you want to 'see' the SC 1 / BW campaigns without having to spend hours of technical maneuvering to get them to work on your system, please refer to our community reviewer JayBorino's channel.

"...Legacy of the Confederation is so gripping that many consider it as good as Brood War..." - Quote from PC Gamer Article
If you want to give the campaigns a 'go', you can visit CampaignCreations.org (at the links above) for the downloads. (If you have issues getting the files set up, JayBorino also has a great tutorial written about this). Just remember you will need the original StarCraft 1 and Broodwar games installed regardless of any other technical wizardry is required.

Want More Info? It's Nothing Newly Posted, however when the campaign was in production in 2010, here are some YouTube links to give you a teaser of things to come.
It will be awhile before this Episode actually hits cyberspace in any form. We decided to move forward with Episode 1 after all and complete the entire series of LotC in SC2 after we began work on Strike First, Striker Harder (The Mission Title for Episode 2's opener).

Has this project died or something? I'll be sad if it has :(
@perixpwns
Sooner rather than later. Just having the team finish up some custom graphics work (portraits and in-game models) and then onto the mapping itself.
omfg this is sweet when will it be done?
This is awesome, I cant wait for the next LOTC campaign. The one I played in beta was hands down the best custom campaign I had ever played. FIST PUMP!
Giovanni = LittleKuriboh? Cause holy crap it sounds really close.
Hey I do understand that, just found it a little odd how you were telling people you guys had custom built those building models yourself, when in fact you hadn't. I honestly see no shame in using model packs, saves money and time and I'll be doing the same for one of my map projects in the future. But if someone asks, I'll make it clear they were purchased and are not my own creations. No one will fault you for that man.
But regardless, still looks good and looking forward to seeing this finished!
@alexis: LotC does have a budget, but, not enough to get exclusive rights on the models. So the models get to be resold. Still, the bones animations for build, stand, walk, and death will be unique (hopefully).
The good news though is that the portraits and in-game units are exclusive. Well, at least until those assets are released to the community here at SC2Mapster once LotC goes gold.
Looks very good, but guys come on. You are being a little misleading, you purchased those models as a model pack. I have the exact same ones on my computer...
The Drealan voice does sound like protoss. Ulrezaj sounds more like an overmind voice. Zathren sounds like an Orc. Kerrigan doesn't have the same personality or voice as in starcraft. She acts more evil and was like that for a long time. Rippert was pretty funny. I thought there would be more senators than just 2.
@johney7289: Thanks Johney. Yes, the team modeled everything you see. Everything you'll see on this project graphics wise will have been modeled from scratch.
so you modeled all that stuff?? amazing work lol =D
I love the voices but the Kerrigan voice was just too different from either the SC or SC2 kerrigan. As said the buildings don't feel like they're from the starcraft universe.
Looks very impressive. Something I`d definitely would try(Im not really a fan of campaign style maps in general but this looks good). Keep up the great work.
@Programmer: The buildings, new units, portraits, and voices (for units) will be available for anyone to use once the campaign is released. There will also be a multi-player pack (hopefully supported by Blizz mod tools at that time) to allow for the Confederation to be a fourth playable race on battle.net. Splash screens are specific to the events of each mission and might not be useful to others. But maybe they would.
All of these are serious custom content, from sounds, voice, to models, loading screen. Keep up the good work, If only can I have a team of such assets,a full blown-out mod for sc2 is possible. Hope that you guys can release these assets for uses other than traditional campaign
