JArch's Assets
I've decided to upload most of the models I've created lately, as I find it selfish not to release my mediocre models. All of the models use in game textures and use WoL only assets (Will be marked if they use HoTs). I can't really model so none of these are amazing or high end things. I also moved my old assets here cause its a pain to manage multiple asset pages (not that the others were very active).
I don't really take requests but if its easy enough I'll probably do it. Click on FILES at the top of the page to check out older models.
i cant seem to find the thug
Yea I'm not sure I ever actually released him. Most of my assets are all of the place and are scattered on several computers. If you're really interested I can try and find or remake him.

Ok this method is how you import 90% of outside textured objects into sc2.
Step ONE make sure the correct dependencies are added in this case I added HoTs campagin. Then import the texture and change it's file path to "Assets/Texutres" (without the quotes). Next, and this is the wonky but super important part, is to save the map and exit it completely.
Step TWO reopen the map and import the model.
Step THREE ???.
Step FOUR Profit.

Can I see How you put it together?

Please show me how you're importing it as I've never had issues with it and you are the first to report an issue. Thanks!
Edit: PM'ed you
Ahem......
you need to attach the texture to the model... thats the issue im having...

The selendis model was removed, I might still have the original, or can at least replicate it. Cretoss I'd have to search around for, I think someone reuploaded him on this site, I'll post a link if i find it.
Where did you get the original Selendis and Cretoss models.

Haha yea I've seen enough questions about them And managed to find them on my PC so I figured it'd be a good idea to repost them.
Thanks for re-uploading some of Rulerian's stuff. I got a bit shocked when that site went down that had his other work, so I'mglad that these things were preserved.

Never saw this. I am using attachment points for the thug. Still working on him though.
The visor animation can be used however you want. The animation can play over top or during any other animation without disrupting them.
For the gif I used an executable someone gave me that makes gifs. If I can I'll post it later.
I like the Umojan ShadowGuard's moving visor, and the thug. Are you using attachment points for the thug? I have been thinking about making a map which would have a dual wielding marine model, but I have no idea what I am doing in the map editor yet.
And what did you use to make the animated gif for the ShadowGuard's image, and is that just an additional spell effect? I remember the portrait for spectre's closed the visor when the spectre cloaked, I always thought that would be a cool in game effect as well.

Thanks I'm working on getting that as an .m3a should be cool when it's done.
Ha ha that thug is awesome!
