Insectipede Invasion TD
Insectipede Invasion TD is a full-fledged tower defense game with many new innovations and twists. Insectipede Invasion TD includes:
-4 unique and individual tower builders (Ice Specialist, Flame Specialist, Decay Specialist, and Siege Specialist)
-Each Specialist constructs 4 separate and unique towers which deal with the Insectipedes in various ways.
-Creative wave composition and structure supporting multiple enemies per wave.
-Unique Insectipede units, such as: the Queen Insectipede which will heal damaged Insectipedes, various carrier insectipedes which, when killed, burst open and releases smaller insectipedes onto the field, shielded insectipedes which have low health, but quickly regenerate shields, and much more.
-Unique pathing design which allows builders to block Insectipede pathing and extend their walking duration
-5 Difficulty settings which determine the stats of the Insectipedes and the bounty amount of each Insectipede.
-Varying Insectipede spawning amounts (the more players playing the more Insectipedes spawn.
-Unique resource gathering mechanic. Will you spend your resources on additional towers or on harvesters to provide additional income which compounds later on?
-Tower upgrades including: damage, range, firing rate, weapon upgrades and more.
-Special tower abilities, such as: Overcharge (180 Second cooldown increases firing speed rate x3 for a duration)
-Customized UI boss encounters every 10 waves.
-Battle Tiers which contain 20 waves each. Each new Tier provides additional supply for creating more harvestors and implements stronger and faster Insectipedes.
-4 player online coop
-And much more
Specialists
Flame specialist - Specializes in constructing AOE (area of effect) towers.
Towers include: Flame Tower, Dragon Tower, Psionic Laser Tower, and Inferno Wave Tower
Ice Specialist - Specializes in constructing towers which slow enemy movement speed.
Towers include: Ice Tower, Snap Freeze Tower, Glacial Beam Tower, and Sub-Zero Tower
Decay Specialist - Specializes in constructing DOT and armor piercing towers.
Towers include: Venom Tower, Stinger Tower, Swarming Tower, and Devilry Spine Tower
Siege Specialist - Specializes in constructing long range towers which can attack across the map.
Towers include: .50 Cal Turret, Missile Launcher, Barbed Torpedo Tower, and Tactical Nuke Tower

Hey, this is the best mod map i've played so far, so im wondering why the author has stopped finishing it. but ill still be waiting for an update. i hope it's soon!
THIS is the best map so far for SC II.. just love it! Hope the bugs are fixed soon and we can play more than 30 waves! Thanks for that map!!!

Hi Etravex, first off, this is simply the most awesome Starcraft 2 map i've seen. it is SOOOOO addictive. but the problem is the wave suddenly stops after wave 30, when the Boss dies. can you make it endless (so that the fun can also be endless?). i'm really, really hoping you will update the map soon, just with increasing difficulty? thanks so much for making a map like this. there's at least 90-plus people here who are waiting for you to update it. :))
Hi again, for the Sound-Problem, on my side, I have only problems with the Sound when picking the DoT-Towers (Decay Specialist). Even with a 4-player-team (one Ice, two Flame and one Siege) we did not have any sound problems at all. Don't know if it helps to find a clue.
Oh, as I am here, we had a graphical problem with the "Glacial Beam Tower", sometimes a beem gets stuck (it's graphic, it doesn't do any damage then) and fires indefinitely on a point on the floor. (It looks like this happens if the tower is upgraded while in fight.) The tower still works however, a "second" beam is displayed then who hits the targets, so no problem to continue to use that tower. Just wanted to let you know.
I do apologize to everyone who has been having a lot of fun with this TD. I haven't republished it since that last reset, because I haven't figured out the sound and latency issues yet. That being set, my time has been heavily spent on a new map variant. I will continue to try and solve the head ache that has become of this latency and sound issue map. Thank you for the support hope to have it fixed soon.
Heyho Etravex, I love this TD, however, me and my friends have the same problem, after the Boss of wave 30 no more waves spawn. So I checked this page every day, but I could not find a new version. You say "Current Version: 3.02" in your Info, but the version here and on Battle.net is only 2.6. So I am curious if this great Map is still maintained?
Please host this on american servers. it is easily the best I have played out of all the TD maps and even if it isnt balanced fully yet, none of the others one are anyway.
Zerg "units (towers)" put a heavier load on CPU GPU I guess. Had a massive problem with FPS when I was playing with decay aswell. Too many animations maybe? :)
Hey, I've been playing this map in singleplayer and like the others noticed it hangs on wave 30. However, if I play with the decay specialist, halfway through all sounds other than the ambient ones get muted and the game starts lagging until it freezes at wave 25. I haven't played with the flame specialist yet, but with the ice and siege ones I didn't have any issue beyond the freezing at wave 30. Hope it helps.
You still get a message when you finish 20th wave, regarding to bonus supplies.
Aside from that, when someone leaves the game, his building and builder should be given to someone in my opinion.
Also, sound effects got muted at a point for everyone, along with FPS lag, but don't know if this is related to the map, rather than to the game itself (too many towers, effects, etc = FPS lag and possibly sound freeze)

Spawn freezes at 34-ish wave ( after the big boss ? ) after 9scv's the new 5 extra supply wont addup to your current so that is bugged.
Hi everyone! First of all, great map!! Then I have an issue. While I am playing at it, the game freezes randomly at the and of a wave. It often happen between wave 3 and 4. Any ideas?

It also stopped after 30 waves for me. I thought I won and left happily lol. If there are even more waves, even better, great map.
Thank you for the feed back. I'm looking into several of these issues atm. I have fixed some of them already such as the boss information. The getting 5 supply after wave 20 has been removed. Instead building a tier 4 tower grants you 1 extra supply. If you upgrade this tier 4 tower to level 2 you get 2 supply, and 3 supply for level 3.
I am however looking into the freezing after wave 30 and of course the sound that seems to trigger if all players are building their towers next to each other ( to many towers firing to many sounds at the same time).

Very awesome map-design and the specialist thing is really fun. My favorite TD so far out of all of them in SC2.
That said: daMustermann is right, the freezing is quite annoying. What it means is the game just stops. No victory screen, no more waves, just nothing. Just happened after wave 30 (the boss). EDIT: It always happens after wave 30, with 100% certainty so far out of 5 games.
Or is that the end and you just didn't get around to adding a victory trigger yet ?
More Bugs: 1)The SCV thing after Wave 10 (or was it 20?) doesn't work (at least it hasn't in the 5 games i played). 2) In my first game I had 10 SCVs, in all the other ones I never got higher than 9. 3) The sound sometimes randomly drops as the poster before me said. 4) The information-display about bosses is incorrect (f.ex. it says the wave 30 guy has 25,000 shields when it has 110,000 even with most people voting easy/normal)
The only recurring issue I have with this map is the sound cutting out during the late 20s for the rest of the game. Still playable, just annoying.
What do you mean by freeze?
It freezes after different waves. After Boss-Waves typical. Any solution?
