Those who haven't played the previous installments of Infested Arena
Infested Arena 3, like its predecessors, places four players in an arena setting whereby their objective is to survive each successive round. At the beginning of the match each player will get the opportunity to choose their Specialist (or Hero). Each Specialist is different and has a unique play style. The more Infested you kill the stronger you can make your specialist. Your Specialist will never die; instead, when your specialist reaches 0 health he goes into an incapacitated state. You must wait in this Incapacitated state for a duration of time before your specialist will get on his feet again. If all current players' Specialists get Incapacitated at the same time then the game will end in defeat.
New additions to Infested Arena 3
- New Character Progression Systems - Let your imagination be your guide as you are given full control to build your specialist however you desire
- New Passive Skill Tree - Now when you level up you will receive a skill point to distribute into your Passive Skill Tree. Each Skill Tree contains 180+ Individual skill nodes (Passive Skill Tree)
- Weapons & Gear - Each specialist is capable of holding 6 items at any time. As you accumulate minerals round-by-round, go to the shop to spend your minerals on 50+ unique items that will further customize your Specialist's build.
- New Tier Passive Abilities - After defeating the first boss each player will be given the option to choose 1 of 8 unique passive abilities from the Tier I ability menu. Once chosen this passive ability will be directly added to your Specialist's ability sheet. There are 4 Passive ability Tier menus that open throughout a single game in which each passive is different from prior Tier menus. These passive Tier menus will become available after killing bosses: 1, 2, 3, & 4.
- New Attribute System: Infested Arena 3 Introduces four attributes: Strength, Agility, Intelligence, and Endurance. Each changing your Specialist accordingly.

Combat
In Infested Arena 3 each player will have multiple opportunities to increase their damage or increase their survivability. A careful balance between the two is essential for success. Each specialist has 5 active skills and a single passive skill. These skills can be a mix of: offensive damage, survivability, crowd control, and support. there is no longer designated class roles, in Infested Arena 3 there is no designated "healer," "tank," or "damage dealer" each specialist is in charge of juggling these roles throughout the play experience. That way if someone decides to leave or is accidentally disconnected the remaining players can still progress through each round.
Infested
Not only did we introduce 4 new attributes for Specialists, but we also introduced 4 attributes for the Infested enemies: Damage, Health, Attack speed, and Movement speed. Depending on the difficulty selected these attributes will begin to slowly increase as you progress through each round. After a boss is defeated (at every 5th round) the Infested will receive a significant boost to their attributes.
There are now 4 Classes of Infested Units:
- Normal Infested - these are your standard Infested units that enter the arena in throngs.
- Elite Infested - these units vary in behavior and are randomly generated; additionally, they have inherent passive abilities that specialize their presence.
- Special Infested - these units vary in abilities and are randomly generated; additionally, they have special abilities and are much harder to kill, but the reward is greater.
- Boss Infested - They come at every 5th round interval and require a great deal of team tactics to apprehend. They also have special abilities that can destroy specialists quickly
Player Level Progression
For those familiar with Infested Arena 2, persistent player level has returned in Infested Arena 3. The more Infested Arena you play the game will recognize that you've played before and continue leveling your persistent player level up from where you left off. This is not to be confused with your Specialist level; when you start a new game your specialist will always be level 1. Your Player Level is found in the upper left corner of the screen. You will gain Player Level Experience by completing rounds in Infested Arena.
There are many perks for leveling up your Player Level since much of the game content is unlocked the higher player level you are. For instant:
- To select the harder difficulties you must have a certain player level.
- To select new specialists to play you must have a certain player level.
- To select some of the Unique Tier Passive Abilities you must have a certain player level

Something is in the works that will revolutionize Infested Arena...
i mean like their special abilities the area could be affected now how many people they shoot

Agreed, perhaps bring back the specialist starting roles again? Like in the second IA? DPS/Support, etc?
That would be a solution.
However, the Dojaq glitch allows for him to get stuck up on a cliff if someone lures him there. Or if they stand up there, he'll chase them. (The Reason: Dojaq uses the Ursadon pathing, which is similar to the Reaper's. He tries to go up cliffs because of their cliff-jumper ability. Give him a Marine's maybe? Or the Leap/Cliff jumper ability in place of his rock fall ability.)
P.S: Savage difficulty was really easy to beat, using Slash. His towers get all of the shields he gets, so simple task; Stack up Shields and Damage. Easy win.

You do realize Etravex has a item called Splicing Munitions, under the Specialization tab, right?
It allows you to attack 2 Targets at once instead of one.
I have been playing the game since I got my internet fixed, and I like it thanks Etravex for your hard work. I have been playing mostly blaze, slash and psion (btw talking about psion how can we find him to remap the shortcut keys?) The game needs some adjustments but do not give blaze more atk speed as he really is overkill if u chose the right passive skills and items like splicing munitions and range, I think the passive tree is nice seems a bit complex at first but doesn’t take too longs to get the hang of it.
A few points I think should be improved:
-Timer before the first round is too long when you get in the arena you have nothing to do for the first 2min, this is annoying if you know the game and just want to start off fast but can be useful for newcomers to get to look at the passive tree and items so maybe just set a vote to pass the timer between rounds
-The round with the zerglings is too hard if you don’t get lucky and get that round first its 99% wipe I don’t think you should remove it but make it for less mobs or reduce their speed for the first 4 rounds
-Characters with elemental abilities should do elemental dmg with their auto atk
-Dojaq is bugged he will get stuck on cliffs or trees and will sometimes totally stop moving and sometimes not even using his special ability! making him really easy to kill, that’s it for now I’ll try to give more info as I play, one last thing is I used to play salv in IA2 I liked him a lot but now I don’t coz he lost his awesome black hole so please give it back :p
slipped down to 127, i think u need to revamp the skill tree, its too complex, make it more like world of warcrat, they have 3 seperate trees as do you you have agility, str, and int....check world of warcraft building trees, i liked how in IA2 u could make the dmg radius' bigger and stuff like that i see this as boring once you hit lvl 15 and u have maxxed out all str or int or whatever main attribute you were going for.
So far I find this to be a very fun game. But I'd like to address some issues (1) .25 armor from endurance is a little much it makes it so that normal units (and even some SIU's do almost no damage to you on all but the hardest difficulties. (2) flat damage bonuses of .25, .50 and so on does not mean much on abilities that start out doing 400 damage but on something that does 20 damage multiple times it is great. Ideally change damage bonuses to a % or at the very least all abilities fall into the deals 20-30 damage times X. (3) massive cool down reduction and flame turrets = ridiculous. (4) most summons suck and don't scale well. make them share the attributes of the hero they belong to. For example I have 100 endurance well so does my minion.
Good suggestions however the first one I can't do. If the passive tree and tier passives increased physical damage by a % then it would be ok, however the passive, attributes, passive tree, and items all increase physical damage by a set amount (i.e. specialist blade +5 physical damage ). As you can see a hero starting out with a lower attack speed would benefit way more from nonscaled physical damage increases compared to a hero with a slower attack speed. That is why all heros have around the same "attack speed" base of 1.5 or 1.4(depending on if there starting bonus Includes + attack speed). So for a scenario where blaze at .7 attackspeed and deadeye at 1.5 attackspeed; if both heroes bought identical items and reached + 400 physical damage and no attackspeed upgrades then blaze would be dealing an additional 400+ damage each interval since blaze would attack 2 times to every deadeye attack. This would make blaze the ideal and only choice for a physical damage build. And we can't have that now can we? :)
Balancing Suggestions
Savage should be nerfed, or heroes should be buffed, cannibals having 3600 dps, infested having 6000 life, roughly 700 dps, find it a bit nuts, and if 26-30 comes out, it'll be even harder

Thanks NickDE! I'm glad you like it man. You will like it even more soon enough :)
