Those who haven't played the previous installments of Infested Arena
Infested Arena 3, like its predecessors, places four players in an arena setting whereby their objective is to survive each successive round. At the beginning of the match each player will get the opportunity to choose their Specialist (or Hero). Each Specialist is different and has a unique play style. The more Infested you kill the stronger you can make your specialist. Your Specialist will never die; instead, when your specialist reaches 0 health he goes into an incapacitated state. You must wait in this Incapacitated state for a duration of time before your specialist will get on his feet again. If all current players' Specialists get Incapacitated at the same time then the game will end in defeat.
New additions to Infested Arena 3
- New Character Progression Systems - Let your imagination be your guide as you are given full control to build your specialist however you desire
- New Passive Skill Tree - Now when you level up you will receive a skill point to distribute into your Passive Skill Tree. Each Skill Tree contains 180+ Individual skill nodes (Passive Skill Tree)
- Weapons & Gear - Each specialist is capable of holding 6 items at any time. As you accumulate minerals round-by-round, go to the shop to spend your minerals on 50+ unique items that will further customize your Specialist's build.
- New Tier Passive Abilities - After defeating the first boss each player will be given the option to choose 1 of 8 unique passive abilities from the Tier I ability menu. Once chosen this passive ability will be directly added to your Specialist's ability sheet. There are 4 Passive ability Tier menus that open throughout a single game in which each passive is different from prior Tier menus. These passive Tier menus will become available after killing bosses: 1, 2, 3, & 4.
- New Attribute System: Infested Arena 3 Introduces four attributes: Strength, Agility, Intelligence, and Endurance. Each changing your Specialist accordingly.
- 3 New Specialists - Now there is a total of 10 specialists to choose from each with their own unique play style
- New enemies and bosses - Infested Arena 3 was built from the ground up; each enemy and boss you encounter will be different then what you faced in prior Infested Arenas

Combat
In Infested Arena 3 each player will have multiple opportunities to increase their damage or increase their survivability. A careful balance between the two is essential for success. Each specialist has 5 active skills and a single passive skill. These skills can be a mix of: offensive damage, survivability, crowd control, and support. there is no longer designated class roles, in Infested Arena 3 there is no designated "healer," "tank," or "damage dealer" each specialist is in charge of juggling these roles throughout the play experience. That way if someone decides to leave or is accidentally disconnected the remaining players can still progress through each round.
Infested
Not only did we introduce 4 new attributes for Specialists, but we also introduced 4 attributes for the Infested enemies: Damage, Health, Attack speed, and Movement speed. Depending on the difficulty selected these attributes will begin to slowly increase as you progress through each round. After a boss is defeated (at every 5th round) the Infested will receive a significant boost to their attributes.
There are now 4 Classes of Infested Units:
- Normal Infested - these are your standard Infested units that enter the arena in throngs.
- Elite Infested - these units vary in behavior and are randomly generated; additionally, they have inherent passive abilities that specialize their presence.
- Special Infested - these units vary in abilities and are randomly generated; additionally, they have special abilities and are much harder to kill, but the reward is greater.
- Boss Infested - They come at every 5th round interval and require a great deal of team tactics to apprehend. They also have special abilities that can destroy specialists quickly
Player Level Progression
For those familiar with Infested Arena 2, persistent player level has returned in Infested Arena 3. The more Infested Arena you play the game will recognize that you've played before and continue leveling your persistent player level up from where you left off. This is not to be confused with your Specialist level; when you start a new game your specialist will always be level 1. Your Player Level is found in the upper left corner of the screen. You will gain Player Level Experience by completing rounds in Infested Arena.
There are many perks for leveling up your Player Level since much of the game content is unlocked the higher player level you are. For instant:
- To select the harder difficulties you must have a certain player level.
- To select new specialists to play you must have a certain player level.
- To select some of the Unique Tier Passive Abilities you must have a certain player level

Patch 1.29 deployed
Many bug fixes addressed. check patch notes in lobby for full details. If you experience the Drake disappear bug on the new 1.29 patch PLEASE let me know asap. I do believe I fixed this, but thorough testing couldn't be done on the fix.
General Information:
I've been on vacation. Can't wait to get back and implement some new content!
@Draktok: Go
Have you tried anything above Easy difficulty?
Didn't run into any glitches personally, but gameplay grows pretty stale after you move maps once. By wave 20 i just stare at the screen bored and not really achieving anything
Faith Glitch: Using Shift and enough maneuvering, you can easily get up there. http://i.imgur.com/SL5s58l.jpg

Agility stacks up correctly, you're just not getting enough of it. 1 Agility = +1% Attack Speed, if you take +15% Attack Speed it will result in .01 more Attack Speed.

I'm so glad this map is back.
But it seems agility doesnt up attack speed ?
is it bug or supposed to do that ?
BLAZE GUIDE (Pure DPS):
Once you've built up this, all you have to do is sit back and watch...
First start out by buying one Wisdom of The Ancients under the Support items tab... Then buy a Mineral Generator, continue to buy two more Wisdom of The Ancients and another Mineral Generator when you can.
Spend all your Vespene on Agility to compensate his low attack speed. In the Skilltree, try to get every attack speed upgrade unlocked, once that's done you should upgrade every Physical Damage, Strength Upgrade, and the Deadly Strikes upgrade. (Very Bottom of the Skilltree)
As soon as you've gotten 9000 Minerals, and you are around level 40 (Hero Level). Buy one Deadman's Grasp, and one Splicing Munitions (both under the Specialization items tab), and three Berserker's Serums (Under the Attack Speed items tab). As soon as you get enough money, buy one Bionic Launcher (Physical Damage items tab.)
PASSIVES: The first Passive, unlocked after defeating the first boss, should be Deep Lacerations. This at its max will give 21% more attack speed. The second Passive should be The Gambler, it is essential later on with this build. The third Passive should be Deathly Double, supplying a 7% to deal 100% more Physical Damage EACH attack. Note the third Passive could be anything you want, I simply suggest Pain Maker II to provide 62 more Physical Damage.
Your build is now complete, you are an uber tough guy with lots of ammo apparently. Now, just sit back and occasionally maneuver to avoid Boss abilities...
First Items list:
Final Items list:
ya there is no physical dmg with a 30% cooldown reduciton only elemental....
trasher is bugged if he dies he burrows and doesn't come back....also ranked number 40 moving up the ladder!!!
Yes the cool down and hastes work the cool down display on the abilities is something that I can't visually change its a built blizzard feature. If you don't believe me u can always pull out a stop watch and see that it does work. How it works: when you get Cooldown reduction it makes the Cooldown Timer decrease more rapidly.
New bugs ive found: 1: Faith can teleport off into the water or isolate rocks in rocky fjord 2: from frosty caverns faith can teleport into rocky fjord 3: Cooldown reduction does not work 4: Haste 1 and 2 do not work
Overall :(read bottom one first, ran out of room) Drake is really weak and needs some balancing Bosses can use more buffs, and difficulty Physical and elemental dmg need to be balanced Some passive skills do not work melee heroes need to stick to mostly physical dmg, Faith needs some buffs as far as damage, psi bolt should be elemental, seeing how she is an intelligance hero, her ultimate ability is useless
Bug Reports: After playing infested arena 3 a couple times i have found a numerity of bugs which need to be fixed: 1: Drake sometimes permanently dies instead of being incapacitated 2: ive heard numerous reports of drake taking dmg from lifesteal instead of gaining life 3: sometimes slither (5th boss) does not spawn 4: Sometimes elemental passives (Deadly arts 1 and 2 ) do not work Suggestions: 1: in order to make boss 4 less of a smack, and dodge beacon, perhaps give the boss a Regular aoe attack , thats projectile based (like his ensnare) and make gravition beacon instead of instantly killing someone, make it increase the damage they take by 10% for each second they are in it, and reduce their damage by 5% per sec wihle in it(physical, and 7.5% for elemental ) 2: it seems bionic launcher, costing 6025 , and giving less physical dmg then the 3625 cost artifact, (102 bio launcher, 165 artifact) should either be nerfed on price, or rised in damage 3: late game, elite infesteds should be much harder, as late game with psion i can easily kill them without them getting close 4: its come to my attention that slithers damage buff is only 1%, this making it where with zeratul i could lifesteal tank slither with ease, perhaps damage buff should be either A: Set to 10%, or B: also reduce player damage 5: new players often rage at the talent tree, not understanding where to find it or how it works, maybe add a 30 second tutorial, showing where its at and how to use it (forgotten bug report) 5: Agility does not provide weaponspeed, this can cause problems to people who want to be agile, (Back to suggestions) 6: Bosses should be given more abilities , instead of just 1 or 2, so that it has more mechanics , and can be more replayable and interesting to fight 7: more difficulties open at 35:45: and possibly 50 8: perhaps add more bosses, and a randomization in certain spots, so that it is not always the same boss to fight, nor at the same strength 9: ive realized that faith, though being good early game, has sparse late game potential as her damage is low endgame, compared to others such as slash 10: drake is relatively easy to die on hard or higher difficulties, and can possibly need some balancing for harder levels 11: Zeratul, drake, and any future melee heroes should be more physical based, rather than being mostly elemental, seeing as how only zeras omni slash, and drakes draklings and taste for blood really only help with physical, being melee, should bemor ephysical than elemental
I would just like to say, i have been playing infested arena since the first version came out. I absolutely loved it and played it even after it became buggy. I checked more than once a month to see if it had been fixed since it happened. I must say though that I am glad you didn't fix it and instead pushed through in making the Third. There were too many people going in and editing their levels/max level reached and it made it no fun because people weren't earning everything properly. Again just saying thank you for your time and effort and showing my gratitude as a fan of your game. Ill try to find bugs and other glitches and bring them to your attention if i can. Keelo
Possible Enemy=====
This game is amazingly made, throrough with details and close to no bugs other than agillity needs work, and simply blows my mind. but i think perhaps a support enemy that , rather than doing massive amounts of dmg uses spells to fight the specialists, im saying perhaps a infestor would be good, that uses ability such as creating infested, stunning specialists, and healing other infested. Also perhaps more bosses for harder difficulties? BUG FOUND: Drake sometimes does not revive when incapacitated
I found you my good sir a bug, well many varying types of the same bug, if you for example rocket jump outside the main zone with blaze in to the restricted zones the camera zooms back to the hut without you and your then free to chill in the spawning area, also I know this has probably been asked but is there any way you could repair Infested arena II ?
Other way I found is that if the infested primes pull you in to the spawning zone you then also have free roam.
WHEW! Infested Arena 3 is on Page 5 as of 1:26 AM EST!
Slither is definitely a tough boss, Psion and a Blaze got ganked easily on Easy. Other than that, we breezed through.
I'll get to work making the logo tomorrow, hopefully it'll be done and you'll have a nice logo for an awesome game.
GUIDE TO PSION
Psion is relatively easy to use once his Elemental damage is upgraded. These are the suggested items:
Psion Strategy:
Dealing with Swarms
Dealing with Bosses
Dealing with Elites
Hope every Psion user likes this, it helps.
Thank Etravex, for the great game!
Thanks Uzurak for the support appreciate the help
I TRIED!!!! :P
Didn't know if you noticed or not, this thread says the map is still in Planning.
Also, I've got your logo in the works. I'm also trying to make my three maps and make some logos for some other people. But those people never respond, Ghost Infiltration, Cortex RP Kadive III can wait, and City of Horrors is going to be worked on Vicboy this week. It's his turn, haha. :P
FIXED IT: The first Infested Arena brought us five heroes, Seifer, Deadeye, Blaze and Salv! Then in an update, a new hero was added: Fulgore! Upon the release of Infested Arena 2, Psion and Krug were added, as well as a Skilltree! Now, three more unique heroes have been added to the Infested Arena universe; Faith, Drake, AND SLAAASH! Not only does this come with SUPER-MEGA-DUBER Skilltree, it has bosses spawning every 5 waves for a total of 25 fun yet challenging waves!
PLAY THIS GAME!!! MAH LERF FER EIUR!
Did I mention I was SUPER anxious and CAPSLOCK Crazy when I saw this thread. Hahaha... It's easy to make mistakes! I saw only bosses 1 2 3 and 4 in this thread, when you mentioned the passive tiers.
