Empire Builder
Your colony ship crash-lands on an uncharted world. Like it or not, you're settling here.
Build up your empire.
- - Pick a government type which will provide varying bonuses. Such as democracies having a higher tax rate, but high upkeep costs.
- - Choose an area to place the capital.
- - Build its economy, by providing houses for your people to live in. Produce metal, oil, food, and electricity.
- - Sell resources on the market to gain credits, however other empires will be able to buy what you sell.
- - Advance technologically, and become the most advanced empire. Build expensive laboratories to improve the science rating of your empire.
- - Build a military from infantry, vehicles and aircraft. Militaries cost upkeep, so don't bankrupt yourself otherwise your military will become ineffective.
- - Ally, set neutral or attack other players.
- - The Native Creatures are dynamic, they will produce new hives, spawning pools and evolution chambers to advance themselves. Destroy them before it becomes too late.* Published on NA.
The project was more or less abandoned by it's original creator and I'm picking up the pieces, so you are all playing an unfinished game atm.

I can't say i agree with much of what Deadmg said, but i do wonder why you cannot build oil yourself anymore. I don't really like the idea that it is partly luck if you get oil in a good base, since it gives a lot of money when u sell it. Also, please tell me EB2 is not finished. I couldn't believe you made it after the awesome EB1.
I understand your concerns, DeadMG and others, and I do agree - but I just don't have as much time as I used... however, I am now creating Empire Builder 2 which will be complex but NOT complicated. I already have a foundation for the game with the economic system in and all the triggers, some units, buildings, etc. Will be far superior to EB1.
In 4.9, air is so ridiculously overpowered it's not even funny.
Pulsegunners can't hit carpet bombers, and SAM sites have no splash. SAM sites just plain suck against player-built air. Even if you make whole goddamn walls of them, they get owned. They need to do splash damage, and a lot of it. Also, Pulsegunners are super-strong (except against air now). Also, if you're going to make people capture oil to have competitive tech, at least put the oil in the spawn locations or something instead of randomly all in the Zerg main or in your opponent's base.
Secondly, you seriously need to update the tooltips so that they give the actual value, not the default value. It's impossible to play without a spreadsheet on many of the economy/government settings. How much food do I need? Uh...
Thirdly, make the King spawn where you place your Capitol, not when you pick Monarchy. Do you have any idea how long it takes him to get from A to B? FOREVER.
Fourthly, the lings don't spawn properly in 4.9. Le bug no funny.
Fifthly, some spawn locations are trivially way superior to others- especially the bottom left. The bottom right is kinda doable if you have balls. The top right and top left both suck. I appreciate being able to spawn where I want, but you need to give me a reason to spawn somewhere other than the bottom left every single time.
Sixthly, you need to change the starving mechanic to only kill off the population you can't feed. It's dumb to "starve" but then have a whole bunch of food because a bunch of your population "starved" even though you could easily feed/power/whatever them.
Oh, and finally, please, dear God, change the high-density buildings so that you can't make them unless you have at least some form of power. So many people wiping out their own populations.
I'm a fan of the new RC vehicle, though, makes life much better. If only it moved faster. And could build military buildings.
lol it looks like simcity but than inside a war ;p
@er490: Go
no longer ; )
why is it inactive???
Nice map, but why is there a supply limit of 100 food? 1 big base cannot be defeated, even if the other (much more big) base has much more resources/tech. Several games, in which i didn't kill all enemies instantly, could defend endlessly (or at least very very long). Especially if i play 1vs2 at the end. Controlling about 1/2 to 3/4 of the map and they only <1/4.
Long range splash dealing tanks and some machine gunners against mass air + towers behind them (+raxes+factories+airfields behind them for fast reinforcements) on high ground + some air units for fast help.
TL;DR:
Pls get rid of that annoying supply limit! (I don't get the point why there should be any!)
