Double Build Micro
The project is beeing create very slowly because I don't have all the knowledge to do a such big project. But, I want to learn so I keep trying and eventually, I will end with an epic map =) Though, if someone want to support me for triggers it would be really helpfull.
To optimise my skills, I created this map for multitasking. There are many options where you can choose the computer difficulty, the race, the speed, but also some custom things like, flashing supply when it gets near the maximum, flashing ressource when it gets near the number you set, you can die caus you had to much mineral...
You must kill two computer into a dual 1v1. This mean, double scouting, double building, double mineral / gas / supply check, double micro/macro... After just a few minutes, you works at 100%. You try to be faster and faster.
I want this map to make you see everything you have to think of when you play, everything that you miss, that you do wrong, that you should look at, etc. I want you to freak out when you see how many things are going on! Ressources flashing, buildings doing nothing, supply block, apm....! Do something! haha
Edit: Here is the list of working settings.
- -Set Difficulty. Don't over-estimate your skills when it comes to a double 1v1.
- -Set Race if you want to play with or against specific races.
- -Set Game speed between normal, fast and faster to help.
- -Set Flashing Supply to help.
- -Set Flashing Mineral to help.
- -Set Flashing Gas to help.
- -Die of too much ressources if you really want a stress to keep an eye on the ressource
- -Set maximum ressources instead of dieing. If you don't use your ressource when maxed you lose your incoming ressource.
- -Show APM to know how fast you are.
- -Show Map to help players to prepare for incoming attack.
- -Enable the Starting actions for the second player.
- -Delay the second player to prevent same timing attack from computers.
- -Enable continuing playing on a side that killed the computer to keep playing with your maximum capacities.
Things I want to add:
- -An option to detect idle building such as Main buildings if you are not making SCV, Drone or Probe.
- -An option to detect over energy for Queen, Orbital Command and Nexus.
- -A dialogs to show the number if Idle units. Always do something with your units!
- -A dialogs to show how long you have been supply block.
- -An option to detect Idle Creep Tumor to keep casting them and learn the timing.
- -An option to save and load your setting.
- -Pause the game when opening the Menu to change settings.
- -Change the render of the Menu. It is pretty chaotic right now if you don't know what do what.
Known bug:
- -Interaction bug between the two sides of the map with Mule, Scan and Nydus Worm.
- -Idle Drone-Building when cancelling a Zerg structure doesn't show the Idle worker button.
- -Few minors bugs to fix
50% fix bug:
- -Mule are no more count as Idle even if they are. It was a solution to the Idle worker button appearing during the casting phase of the Mule.
- -Creep Tumor are no more Structure. It was a solution to don't prevent Defeat/Victory.
I will also make a french version. I'll post those on both NA and EU servers.
I can't believe this map is nearly 2 years old... By now it should have been much better...but now I'm working on other projects as this one is quite abandonned even though I still want to finish it... I don't know... There is always the idea, "is it gonna be usefull?" Actually, not quite... Another thing that bugs me with this map is the "double map" part where you can't pick big maps... or, I try to set it to 2v2 where you control 2 bases... or just 1v1 with al the options...which would be the best idea. But how I made the triggers at that time, it's all mess up... it's working, but, it's like an old electric system in the roof of your home where you wonder if or when everything will burn...
This map is not only on ice for now, but it's made of ice in the freezer. If anyone is interested either in using this or continuing the map, I might accept.
This is actually an awesome idea. I encourage it 100%.
