Hi! My name is Tom 'Magi' Smallwood, Magi66 to those on the www.sc2mapster forums (the 66 is for the year I was born, so yeah, I'm old). I started seriously modding games back in 1998. While it was around the time of the original Starcraft release, I didn't really play SC much. I was spending most of my time editing levels for Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 from Lucas Arts.

I worked on several levels and mods for JK, including Swoop, Blaster Tag, Hanger 217 and my most popular single player level, Warzone II: The Intruder (winner of the 3D Gamer's Edge Seal of Approval).

Since then, among various distractions including playing Asheron's Call, Dark Age of Camelot and World of Warcraft, I have released a multi-player adventure for Never Winter Nights called The Return of Mikaila. Return won the Hall of Fame award from the Neverwinter Nights IGN Vault and was one of the first modules to earn the DMFM (Dungeon Master Friendly Module) rating.

Additionally, I ran one of the major news sites, Shadar Logoth, for the computer game Wheel of Time, from Legend Entertainment and I created a deathmatch map for that game called Wishing Well (which really wasn't very good).

In my spare time, I play and DM table top RPGs and enjoy board games such as Le Harve and Puerto Rico.

Currently, I'm playing around with the Starcraft II editor. My first custom map for Starcraft is Diary of a Drone. The first version took 2 weeks of development and was entered into the Blizzard Map Contest. I am spending some additional time cleaning up and testing the map for public release.
