Diablo 3 UI Tutorial
People have seen other submissions of maps that have a diablo 3 ui with the health and mana orbs moving. But they don't include how to do this, I have created a test map that shows you how to do it enjoy.
must have the unit attached have an energy value for this to work or you will get a divide by zero issue.
The file attached is a zip which includes the images for the ui screenshotted from diablo 3 and the orbs where modeled by me.
Notable things to remember:
- There is some data edits for the orbs
- new behavior to damage unit over time as poison which subsequently has a damage effect
- custom light so the orbs look proper and no shadows are covering them
- custom model for each orbs as they are now 3d models: Poison, Health, Mana
- Trigger changes - could be some unused triggers in there or some non enhanced code comment if there are any

thanks I'm glad you liked it. It was fairly simple to do with the assets of Diablo 3 to help with the 3d modeling
New update yet again found a more compressed way of doing it instead of using multiple pictures so i made a spinning 3d model and I also added a poison orb that triggers when you hit f1 which adds a custom behavior to the infestor that damages it over time the new edits are in the data editor list of data edits:
- behavior - effect - models - lights

Thanks JacktheArcher! I have uploaded a new version that is alittle bit cleaner just need to wait for it to be approved the new look is posted in the description comment on some bugs and suggest some changes to the orbs if you don't like the way they look
Wow I never saw this before this is beautiful.
Updated to version 2.0 now has swirling animation in orbs like in diablo 3 also changed the bar to the retail version of diablo 3
well normally if you use this ui the minimap is hidden this just shows that it can be done im going to make it more d3 friendly by have the different orbs im currently working on it
Your Custom UI seems to cover the minimap (you could move it a little to the right side, or create an additional UI for the one @ the back replacing it completely) And uhm, another UI on top of another doesn't look very good but gj nonetheless

I know this is old but, when I add my own unit the health/mana orbs dont work anymore. they just stay full HP. I did change the 4 actions that are linked to infestor to my unit, and the set hero variable but nothing seems to happen with my health/mana orbs
post any bugs here so that i can address them

looks good but maybe u could change the colour to be glowing?=)
I believe I fixed jitter and transparency is on orb backs now this is complete if there are any sugestions just throw them in here or pm them
Any comments on how to improve this would be greatly appreciated as in getting the jitter to stop and transparency on the back of the orbs
