DaveSpectre's Assets
I do all kinds of different kitbashes and retextures.
I am currently struggling with burnout and I am learning to live in some healthy balance. That means I will not release models very often, but sometimes I will make some when I feel like it. So I guess you could consider me semi-retired ? Anyway, I am not doing any requests for the moment, until my mind is healed, which might take a long time. So please do not ask any requests of me, no exceptions (Asking for a fix if model is broken is not a problem). But I still want to do at least some models and share them with you. Hopefully you will find some of them useful :)
Stay healthy and don't forget to rest regularly ! :)
Here you can find a list of models I want to make one day (Note that there is no order to this list): Models I want to make
I would also love to continue making story maps that would include my own models (But that's probably only a dream now. I have very little time and energy for that).
And last but not least, I'd really love to do more commander concepts with videos, because people seem to love those, of course those would require additional models and lot of them. You can find the list of potential commander concepts that I currently have in mind here: List of potential Commander Concepts (on the bottom of the page).
Original credits go to Activision Blizzard and their respective authors. Most of my stuff is made from their models, textures and voicelines, which means, don't use my assets for any commercial purposes. Otherwise you are free to use my models as you want including edits. Crediting is not necessary as long as you don't claim the model as your own. For edited models, I'd like to be credited as original author.

I think what happened was this: "We don't have time to develop a Tal'Darim Archon skillset and we don't have time to do a Dark Archon aswell, let's just recycle T'D model for both of them and pretend that Tal'Darims uses regular archons lol"
In reply to DEFILERRULEZ:
yhea, the laziness is strong in Blizzard. I too think the Tal'darim should have their own Archon, and the Shadow Archon was to be them, but in data they make some mess.
In reply to Zarxiel93:
Well actually if current Dark Archon model was meant to be Tal'darim and new Dark Archon would have different color it would just confuse players from SC1
In reply to DaveSpectre122:
never said they would have different colors, I used for Shadow Archon a black-red aura Archon that you can distinguish really well from Dark Archon.
In reply to Zarxiel93:
Well, whatever, I just want this to stop already xD
For me Nerazim have both Dark and Shadow Archons, however they now prefer the Shadow One and Tal'darim have Dark Archon. I even had a lore planned for Alarak's Conquest as to how they've learned to make Dark Archons and I still plan to do one for Shadow Archons for Untold Stories (If I ever get to it)
technically the Shadow Archon should be the Tal'darim Archon, since in game files they make confusion, and give Dark Archon to Tal'darim and Shadow Archon to Nerazim, in the final game the Dark Archon was give to Nerazim and Shadow Archon used just as a skin for Tal'darim Archon.
In reply to Zarxiel93:
"in the final game the Dark Archon was give to Nerazim and Shadow Archon used just as a skin for Tal'darim Archon." - Well Dark Archon serves both as unti for nerazim in campaign and Co-op and as a Tal'darim Skin, so your statement is not exactly true, because there was no Shadow Archon model until I made one.
Also the name fits more to the Nerazim, except for being called the Dark Templar, they are more associated with word "Shadow" as they have the ritual of Shadow Walk, DT's are also called Shadow Hunters, Centurions are part of Shadow Guard and use Shadow Charge and then also some quotes, like: "From black Shadows I come." and so on ...
I know that oficially Dark Archon is Nerazim, but there is nor reason, why Tal'darim couldn't learn how to make those as well. They can steal tech, so why not rituals (They've already stolen Stalker rituals). And Nerazim could always find a way to do a new Archon. It was said that the Difference between Archon and Dark Archon has something to do with Khala, but High Templar were still able to create regular Archons even after Khala's fall, so I guess this requirement falls.
In my headcanon Tal'darim learned how to make Dark Archons and Nerazim found a way to do Shadow Archons that do not die by time, making them more acceptable as the merged Signifiers can still share their knowledge. But of course, you can have your own opinion :)
In reply to DaveSpectre122:
I don't think is something about "ritual" but is something about "what you are". In a comic this was explained, a Templar was cut her nerve cords and during a fusion with another HT, they became a Twilight Archon instead of an Archon.
Considering what happen in LotV, is strange still exist Archons, but the High Templars say they learned to use their powers even without the Khala, so... this mean they learned to became Archon without Khala too in LotV I guess.
Btw, is not a ritual thing, is a "be" thing.
Aiur + Aiur = Archon (in theory Purifier too, since, at least until now, the Archon Purifier is still called Archon)
Nerazim + Nerazim = Dark Archon
Aiur + Nerazim/Aiur (without cords and without have learned to use the powers without Khala) = Twilight Archon
Tal'Darim + Tal'Darim = Shadow Archon
Make a lot more sense, yhea, the Shadow Archon and the Dark Archon are identical in-game, but that is called lazyness (the same illness that affected Stukov's units portraits), even because in-game, the Tal'darim creates their Archons with Ascendants (the corrispective of the HT) and not with Blood Hunters (the corrispective of the DT)
In reply to Zarxiel93:
Nah, still don't buy it xD End of discussion :)
And by the ritual I meant the process on how to become certain Archon. I don't think it can be based on the faction you are from, because all Protoss are physically almost the same (Except for purifier of course), maybe the Tal'darim are the most different in that matter, but I still think it more depends on the process and powers the individual use (For example both Nerazim and Tal'darim use Void Energies).
And for the Ascendant / Blood Hunter thing. It makes perfct sense, as Blood Hunters are just well trained Assassins, opposed to Ascendants who have great psionic powers.
Hey Dave, remember how I was talking smack on your Queen Portrait a while back?
FORGET I EVER SAID ANYTHING.
I just tested this baby out ingame and the animations are FUCKING AMAZING. Like, INCREDIBLE. You can't tell it's a custom model, it's that good!
In reply to Forge_User_41665328:
Well, thank you xD
I was only lucky with that model tho, nothing else xD
Lel, Probea, never saw that coming...
In reply to DEFILERRULEZ:
Well, just an Idea, that happens when you are overly creative xD Sad thing is that creating an idea takes a few seconds/minutes, ehile making the model takes hours, so I'll never get rid of all the ideas in my head :( Because before I make some of them into models, I'll think of a dozen more :/
In reply to DaveSpectre122:
I will start a fierce battle against Zarxiel to put her on our SCRTGW Project!
In reply to DEFILERRULEZ:
xD
Wow, I just get off your skins. Probably they all exist in the year 2523. It's just my theory.
In reply to kerasever:
Lol xD
In reply to DaveSpectre122:
Wow😌
Nerazim Observer is so cute! Makes me want to pet it.
In reply to DEFILERRULEZ:
