CardCraft SC V0.2a
This is an early alpha version with just a few cards.
You can play against computers in this one. To do so:
- First create a deck using the deck button on the top elft having 32 up to 64 in your deck
- Then close the shop and click on "Create lobby", then you can invite comptuers by clicking on the C button in the newly opened lobby menu
- Then change the teams by clicking on "team 1" or "team 2" afterwards press start to start the game
You get 1 draw point every round, click on your deckpile to draw 1 card, everytiem you draw a card 1 draw point is drained.
You can save yoru draw points if your hand if already full or when you want to draw a card later.
Summon points cannot be saved, you have 1 per round , everytime you summon a unit this point is gone, so you can only summon 1 unit per round.
A roudn takes 10 seconds Resources are shown on the top right: Draw points, Summon points, Energy Energy is liek normal energy in starcraft, but the ui is hidden so it is shown there.
In later versiosn a lot more cards will be added, more techniques, more submodes and an epic adventure mode, which is already in deveoplemt, as you will see on the map in the bottom right.

good
Ok, first, and most importantly, this looks like a great idea, and you've done a lot of incredible things with it. It feels like its own game. The graphic that you use for the card, which flips when you click it... brilliant. You've really pulled the cards off. Its fun using them. I like how you've used banks to store decks, and I look forward to more cards (that'll obviously change things a lot). I wish to high heaven I could play against people, but I guess the AI works.
Now, here are my critical feedback. 1) Speed setting: Although the current combat is ok, it feels pretty slow - I mean... I'm not doing anything unless I've got energy or summoning points... and it can take me 30 seconds to get enough energy to use a card. And the units move and attack pretty slowly. Could you set a speed option... or just flat out double the speed. I mean... once you've got a deck you're familiar with... do you really need 10 seconds to think through what you're doing? The counter argument I think of is, "Its not for thinking, its for the battle to play out." But why in the heck does the battle have to go so slow? can't we double its speed too?
2) Make it a mod: Allowing others to make their own arenas to play your mod in would be the fricking bazomb!
3) Micro Mode: Allowing a player's arena (as listed above) to have unit control enabled, even if only to a certain extent, would give the game extra longevity. I could see this EASILY being way cooler than BattleForge in micro mode.
4) Modes, modes, modes: Perhaps I've let this theme recur too much, but the current combat is pretty simple, and having a massive number of modes and options is really what'll make the game take off! :D
Again, I loved it, I hope you take my thoughts into consideration. Thanks for all your hard work.
Do you have two entries on SC2mapster.com for the same map? I downloaded the one on the other page. Let me know if i did the wrong thing.
I am downloading it. Thanks for making this excellent game. I'll play it and get you feedback. I look forward to this. :)
