[Campaign] StarCraft 2: Shadow of Liberty
Do not click the 'download latest file' button. Click the 'file' tab.
Introduction:
The Feral Zerg have reappeared by attacking several Dominion worlds. No one knows why the Zerg have all of a sudden become so aggressive. Arcturus himself assigned General King's forces to set up orbital defenses in high orbit above Castanar to push the Zerg back. Arcturus also ordered Victor Von to assist General King in his defense, and any rebels they may encounter.
How To Install:
- Unzip the zip files.
- Open your StarCraft II directory (default install: C:/Program Files(x86)/StarCraft II/)
- Open the Maps folder within your StarCraft II directory. If this folder doesn't exist, create one.
- Inside the Maps folder, create a new folder with the name: Shadow of Liberty. A misspelled folder will lead to the mission launcher breaking.
- Paste all .SC2Map files inside the Shadow of Liberty folder.
- Run StarCraft II Editor and locate the Shadow of Liberty Launcher.SC2Map by pressing [Ctrl + O].
- Once the launcher has loaded, press the green StarCraft II icon or [Ctrl + F9] to run the launcher.
- Enjoy!

Did you release act 2? plesease
In reply to tranthanhtung2702:
Sorry, there will not be an Act 2. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or motivation to make it.
Hello,
Similar to RageMast007's comment - I've installed this exactly according to the instructions, e.g. put the maps inside a folder called "Shadow of Liberty" in my Maps folder. However, the launcher does not seem to work. I've tried every permutation of the title that I could think of ("Shadow Of Liberty", " Shadow of Liberty", etc.) and nothing has worked for the launcher.
Am I missing a hidden space or some weird capitalization issues here? Would appreciate any help! I've successfully gotten many other SC2 custom campaigns running with their map launcher, but this one seems to evade me!
Thanks!

Hello, the installation of this campaign was slightly different from all the rest as the missions packs you download would be the items in the campaign folder, not the actual maps files themselves. I have since changed this to match the installation of any other campaign with the new files I have uploaded; should make things easier. Enjoy!
So far, I like the story and I actually was a bit surprised to see Trios and others came from Kardyan Quadrant which is linked to StarCraft 2 Odyssey.
Although there were plenty of spelling errors and some words mistake like (They're & Their), (You're & Your)
Overall, I like this campaign. Wish you the best for the upcoming or remake of your project here.
Sorry but, where to find this Union.mod file in your list there? I can't find it.
Edit: alright, I did every step here. Named a folder 'Shadow of Liberty', placed the entire maps of this campaign into that folder and launched the launcher, then start the 1st mission. It said unable to open map for no reason. Not sure what problem I am facing here. No error in spelling.
Edit2: Never mind, I've figured it out.
In reply to RageMast007:
Glad you could figure it out. The Union stuff was a planned remake of the campaign, but I have decided to stop development on it. I'll update the page to be less ambiguous.

So there won't be Act 2?
In reply to RageMast007:
No, there will not be an Act 2. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or motivation to make it.
Hi, I want to report some bugs.
- Mission 3, After the final cutscene start, there are enemy force came to attack kerrigan, resulting in mission failed. (I played on hard difficulty)
- Mission 10 is bugged, collected Terrazines are not count as main objective ( and mutas can get stuck in a lot of place)
- Mission Launcher is not working, after select mission it says "Unable to open map"
(all of the files are in Maps\Shadow of Liberty)
In reply to SuperStreamStrike:
Hello,
Thank you for playing my maps, I hope you enjoyed them!
I appreciate the bug reports as well as I am in the process of overhauling the campaign.
Hi, I'm looking for clarification if mission 6 is working as intended, but first just want to say that this campaign is awesome. Missions are getting more and more elaborate as I progress. You've made some clever objectives and am enjoying the balance between unit composition and abilities they have.
So I'm currently on mission 6 and have been struggling to beat it on brutal and after a few retries, I started to notice how poor all my skirmishes with the Dominion are going (red, "player10"). Finally noticed that the Dominion have level 6 Armor and Weapons for both infantry and vehicles/ships. Of course, this is vs our limit only level 1.
I found in the triggers exactly where the dominion (player 10) is given level 1, 2, 3 weapons and armor and 2nd time (1st: Initialization > "Common Upgrades" 2nd: Difficulty Dialog > "Difficulty Selected") but am curious if this is intentional? I can understand wanting to beef them up for when their attacking the "Soul Raiders", which is why i'm asking.
Found another post back in Nov.2016 where this is mentioned, but i guess he was running into 9 armor on medics, for example, so some adjustments must have been made.
Played the most recent verison (Nov. 19/2016) of mission 6. Did manage to beat it on brutal with a Roach/Hydra/Ling mineral dump composition. (I had thought roaches would be weak to the immortals/stalkers/marauders of the groups, but I guess they aren't)
A few things:
In reply to robotman07:
First off, I'm glad you are enjoying my campaign. This campaign was my first foray into the Editor and mission 6 was relatively early into my "mapmaking career" as it were. The level 6 upgrades for the Dominion are intentional, albeit stupid. I cannot remember my exact thinking back then, but I think the upgrades have the goal of buffing their attacks against the Soul Raiders as you mentioned but are overpowered when attacking the player. This is something I plan to change when I update Act 1 soon. Hope you enjoy the rest of the campaign!
In reply to PowerCoreX64:
Okay, thanks for the reply and the awesome campaign!
Hello, I'm a Korean user. I found out while watching YouTube. Thank you for making a good map.
In reply to dvaworld:
Thank you! Much appreciated!
Just finished playing mission 11 from act1 and i really liked all the mission till now. you're pretty skilled for your first campaign done.
-the story is pretty interesting, far more than i anticipated
-saw that you began to add secondary objectives, were fun and enjoyable
-i liked reading a bit about the events happened, while loading screen was showing up so in this way not die of boredom.
-if you need to tell more about the story i really liked the ideea of having separate cinematics(like between 7 and 8)so that i could sit with my popcorn and enjoy :)
-every map i play, i try explore it and to complete it 100%. speaking on my side, did not encounter any serious errors with one exception. in the last missions air units could get stuck very easilly in tall building and you would need to direct them manually out.
As improvement i suggest to don't add lots of character dialogue(only essential ones) when missions starts because you need to focus on combat and enjoy gameplay(like in mission 11).

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you're enjoying the story. Unfortunately, there's not much I can do about building pathing. It's either keep it or remove it and allow air units to phase through buildings. I chose the former.
i played your first six missions for now and i wanna give you my feedback till this point.
-what i love at your missions is that you play with every race, like every mission is different.
-missions are shorter compared to other custom campaigns, which actually i like
-the cutscenes are shorter putting you quickly in the field which again is good.
-you focus mainly from what i see on the gameplay, which i think that it matters the most, to be fun and challenging.
-i love that you added levels of difficulty because personally i struggled with a lot of custom campaigns and hated that i could not pass some insane levels. i played yours at easy and i am satisfied with one exception. level 4 seems hard even at easy mode. i struggled 5 times to pass and after that i just watched it on jayborino on youtube
-i've seen some bad typos but they were not so big of a deal and i could understand what you actually meant to say.
-so far no bugs encountered
-my favorite mission was mission 3 because its difficulty and that you always could have improved kerrigan or your army and also expand to other resources.
If i can suggest an improvemet, that would be to add seconday objectives, that would give you some sort of advantage. not necessarily something big, but something extra to feel that you have things to do on the map.
thanks for your missions and good luck to you :)

Thank you for the feedback, raducu. Not a lot of people go out of their way to write constructive feedback for me, and it is much appreciated! I'm glad you're enjoying the content I put out a while ago now. I agree that Act 1 is a little devoid of secondary objectives, and this is something I'm committed to add to my future content when appropriate. I've been meaning to go through Act 1 and fine-tune everything. Looks like I'll have to look at mission 4's difficulty in particular. I hope you enjoy the rest of the campaign!
