Thank you for submitting your entry for the Mini-game contest. Your game concept sounds exciting and engaging. Here's a brief description of your submission:
Title: Bumper Wars
Objective:
The objective of Bumper Wars is to bump other players out of the ring within a 3-minute round. Up to 4 players can compete, and empty player slots are filled with Computer AI opponents.
Bumper Cars:
Players can choose from three different bumper cars: Terran, Protoss, and Zerg, each with unique characteristics and abilities.
Game Mechanics:
Bumper Wars is designed with real physics-based velocity formulas to ensure a realistic and immersive gaming experience. Players must use their chosen bumper car's physics properties to their advantage when engaging in fast-paced battles.
Rounds:
Each round lasts for 3 minutes, and the player with the most opponents bumped out of the ring wins the round. The game can have multiple rounds for an extended competition.
Power-Ups:
Power-ups are a key element of Bumper Wars, adding variety and strategy to the gameplay. These power-ups spawn every 15 seconds and include items like Speed Boost, Phase Shift, Bumper Missiles, and Landmines. Players must strategically collect and use these power-ups to gain an advantage over their opponents.
Controls:
Players use the WASD keys for movement and the Spacebar to activate power-ups and special abilities. The control scheme is easy to understand, making the game accessible to players of all skill levels.
Any chance you could make the arrow keys work as well? Playing this on an azerty keyboard layout is a bit of a pain :)
haha thanks!
This is the most fun I've had playing a custom SC2 map so far. Kudos good sir.
i made the cars slide a lot so they moved more like bumper cars. but you're right it is pretty hard to control. i'll lower their lateral acceleration.
Controls and responsiveness need a lot of work, but the concept and triggers are great.
