Tier 1 Units
Zealot
The zealot is your basic tank unit. Hes responsible for keeping your units alive from the threat of enemy ground forces. His shields regenerate faster than any other unit. He's also equipped with wurm glaive weapons. His attacks bounce off and damage two additional targets. It's best to have zealots surrounding your main attack force. Zealots work best with any ranged unit. However, since the zealots job is to distract ground forces, he works well with either marines or hellions. Bringing 4 zealots to the morphing station will net you a Dark Templar.
Marine
The marine is the #1 for ground based attacks while still being able to help out somewhat as a weak anti-air unit. They are equipped with armor piercing bullets so their damage will forever be constant. Marines life span is extremely short (only 45 hp) so it's advised to not go too far without any type of backup support for them as they will quickly die. Bringing 4 Marines to a morphing station will net you a Ghost.
Stalker
You can never go wrong with the stalker. Despite it's iconic ability given to every unit, it's still quite useful. Normally it does only a measly 10 damage. But if you pit it up against a biological unit it will do an additional 50 damage. Not bad for a tier 1 unit to be doing 60 damage for only 5 minerals. Typically you want a healthy mix of these and roaches to defend off against the incomming air forces. Also, this might be one of the first units that you get to tier 2 with, which it then becomes an Immortal.
Roach
The roach is here to cause havoc on any mechanical unit it comes across. It deals a total of 60 damage to all mechanized units and 10 to all others. A mix of roaches and stalkers is imperitive to getting anywhere past the second level. The tier 2 unit, hydralisk, is equipped with ensare.
Hellion
In game but not yet fully implemented. The idea is to have this unit cost just a bit more than a marine and allow it to do aoe damage. Ideally the hellions will replace the marines when you can afford them.
