Quote:Today, we’re excited to announce the latest Blizzard Arcade contest, Rock the Cabinet 2015. If you were a part of the contest last year, then you've seen some of the amazing games the modding community has created in the past. This time around, we're recognizing the incredible efforts of even more creators and awarding them with over $30,000 in cash and prizes. To celebrate the Warcraft III assets we released earlier this year, the theme for Rock the Cabinet 2015 will be Fantasy. We want your best, brand-new game set in a magical world of your creation. We want to see swords and bows, dragons and goblins, orcs and elves, anything that will transport players into a fantasy setting. Though we’d love to see the Warcraft III models in action, they’re not required and you are absolutely welcome to use any and all tools at your disposal.

Quote:It started at Char before Kerrigan's return. One broodmother from many called Kelysa started her own evolution of zerg race. She was trying to combine many essences, zerg units, structures of DNA until she found the way how to move zergs to another levels. She upgraded zerg DNA and made drones more useful, created new zerg Town Hall which can morph multiple buildings instead of drones. Now her obsession is too strong, more than herself. She want to move zerg evolution higher than is now. She wants to combine hybrid and zerg essence from two different sources to create Ultimate weapon which can help her to conquer every plant in this galaxy.

The Antioch Chronicles by LucidIguana
Quote:In 1998, not long after StarCraft was released, a mapmaker calling himself Auspex Turmalis (Ruben Moreno) released episode 1 of a custom campaign that he called The Antioch Chronicles. The campaign featured custom audio, perhaps most notable for how well Auspex reproduced the Protoss audio effects. Also impressive was the fact that Auspex recorded all of the character voices himself.
Episode 2 was released in 1999. For the second campaign, creative duties were split between Auspex and Zeus Legion (Eric Dieter), with additional voice support acting by Ytse-Jam (Juan Mantilla) and Macbeth (Eric Ladd). By the release of Episode 2, the Antioch Chronicles had gathered a large and active fan base.
Unfortunately, a promised Episode 3 never came to fruition. Still, the first two episodes did much to shape the early StarCraft modding community and remain in the popular conscious fifteen years later. For more information about the Antioch Chronicles, visit the website.
egodbout is here to show us some UI updates and the first few minutes of gameplay of the Curse of Tristram. I have to say, this mod looks fantastic, it's unbelievable to me that these are the kinds of products we can create, when looking back on the mapping and modding that ensued back in the SC1 days, and even during the early days with SC2. /nostalgia
I think this one is pretty straightforward, we all love what Carbots has been doing with his Starcrafts series, lets go show our love and support for his cause!
Quote:Carbot Animations has been creating StarCrafts episodes for almost 3 years now! We love the Starcraft community and have been very lucky to have received such positive responses from our cartoons for the past 3 years! You guys are awesome! And so, after many requests and comments and begging, we are finally taking the cartoon style animation and reskinning it into the Starcraft 2 game!
Everything from a tree to a battlecruiser, buildings, landscapes, doodads (props), ect, everything! The mod will be custom game in the arcade, with a series of different maps to play against and with your friends. It is not accessible as a skin on the Starcraft 2 ladder, but maybe one day this dream could come true (BLIZZARD PLZ). The Starcrafts Mod will be accessible in the Starcrafts arcade for free!
This testing map offers the following features for your development enhancement:
Quote:This project was formally known as Mobile Battle Fortress. Each space vessel has been changed to look more like star ships, hence the name change. Its been a while since this project was updated, and here's a new video to reflect the new change. All the other gameplay elements will remain the same. Each star ship is made up of modules that upgrade into weapons. The starship is powered by reactor modules and moved by engine modules. Everything requires power, so the idea is to manuever your vulnerable reactors and engines away from enemy fire. There's a lot of different class of star ships.
Space Runners, formerly known as Arena of Battle Troll, is a top-down, action-packed, isometric multiplayer shooter game. Each player plays as hero and fights in Team or FFA deathmatch. Pick up more and more powerful weapons, upgrade them, resupply with ammo, and try to rule your opponent.
Quote:Herakles is a campaign in which you only control units - no base building involved whatsoever. The focus lies on managing your units and use them wisely to survive. In other words, this campaign is all micro, but no macro.
Story-wise, the campaign is set in a different universe than StarCraft II. There are still terrans, zerg and protoss, but I'm re-introducing them here to the player. It is set at the early years of human colonization in space, which means that some of the technology of present-day SC2 does not exist yet, and that is reflected in both story and gameplay. Think of it as StarCraft Origins, expect it's not trying to be a part of the real StarCraft lore, but rather it's my own take on the origins of the three races.
This campaign is a remake of sorts of Terran Tactics, a project which I started back in 2011. The core ideas from back then are still included, but otherwise I've started from scratch to ensure that this project will be as good as possible.
WarCraft: Armies Of Azeroth is Starcraft II based remake of WarCraft III, which adds new gameplay features, but saves original balance and graphical design with massive use of resources created by Blizzard for WarCraft III.
Psionic Warfare: Total Destruction is a bombastic, fast paced 4 player co-op arena survival third person shooter in which you have to make your stand against an entire zerg invasion - in midst of a true war. A 4 player mini game in which you collect fruit and turn them into the correct bin. There are 4 fruits that spawn, each of them giving you different points on turn in: Grape 45 points, Apple 60 points, Banana 75 points, Watermelon 90 points. If you turn in the same fruit several times in a row you will receive a bonus that stacks to 5 (1.5X bonus). You may alternatively turn in a specific fruit to an infestor for a game-long buff. On the top, an energy regeneration buff. To the right, a size bonus. On the Bottom, a speed bonus. To the left, you gain a clone of yourself which will also collect fruit. The game is over when 1 of 3 things happen: 1, a player reaches 2500 points. 2, 5 minutes of game time elapse. 3, a bin fills to capacity. The game can then be replayed by the click of a button of the Mini Score Screen.
Quote:Gridfall is a twitchy action-arena game where you’ll need split second reactions to stay solid ground. Up to 10 players can play in a free-for-all or team based setting, where the last person standing wins. The controls are simple, the spell list short, and the action tight.
In this tech demo, you get to see what Diablo 3 looked like in 2005, rendered in the SC2 engine. At the time, the game was in development at Blizzard North, before moving over to Blizzard HQ, with a new team. All sprites for this tech demo were extracted from Diablo 2 and edited to the SC2 engine.
