Whiteout by Crainy
Some of you might remember CrainyCreation from his feature-length machinima, Rebirth of the Swarm. He's just released his Blizzcon movie contest entry, which is a short video aimed at approaching the Heart of the Swarm "Ingame" cinematic quality. There's lots of custom animation and fancy compositing work that went into this one, and it shows.

Posted Nov 16, 2013The male voice actor is pretty uhh... not good. Good performance from Holly Lindin though, well done.
Writing is getting better, could still use some work
Cinematography wise it is very good, the shots and scenery are quite nice

Posted Nov 13, 2013This is pretty basic and I guess that's how you get what you want lol.. She says "how can you be so sure?!" just an example of what it seemed like to me. A bit corny but great job at instilling the feeling of awesome when the ship arrives.
The frost on the window(our camera looking into the scene) kinda took away from it all.. Just as I was feeling the moment I see the frost and realized I wasn't actually there.
3.5 of 5 stars. could be longer.. could be more "fresh" rather than cliché... "we were fighting the zerg".. in a raspy voice not pronouncing the "r"s.. what about the mythology behind Templars? Could be tons of juice for you there.
