Great work on it so far. My only suggestion is that the transition of the majority of spells to sc2 have clearer borders to their cast areas. A good example of this comparison is psi storm from the original and how they have it now. You can easily see the "border" of the storm now.
I think that if you make any graphical improvements, it would be to have some sort of "border" put on it, even if it's VERY faded, to help the zerg player stay in it, and to let the opponents know when they get out of it.
I'll need to test that. Though, I'm not sure how you'd be able to emulate that if it can't. But I KNOW splash damage is not covered with Dark Swarm (this version).
Edit: Just tested it. Yup, Siege Tanks do full damage.
If you remember, Siege Tanks in Siege mode dealt full damage as if the Dark Swarm wasn't even there. Is it working the same way with this version of Dark Swarm?
Yes, those are melee. So, those units will be hurt by it. :)
DivineWill, It is considered Melee. It could probably make for some interesting strategies.
do hydra's and roach's close range attacks considered melee?
so if hydra can fight with zergling under the swarm
