Even with these obstacles it's possible to devise a clever control scheme that makes it work. I'm working on a third person game and it works great in multiplayer. As luck would have it, third person camera mouselook is handled client side. Since this part of the input has immediate feedback (the player sees the camera look around as soon as he moves the mouse) it makes it possible to use it for aiming, even though the camera yaw/pitch don't reach the server until a few milliseconds later.

Anyway, I really like the hydralisk AI and weapons. Would be awesome if co-op was an option for people who don't mind input delay, anyway.

Entirely Singleplayer it is.

I'd love to do an arena style Multiplayer game with this kind of gameplay SO much, but as long as it is impossible to handle stuff like input, camera and actor movement etc. from the client side, I don't see it happening. Just too much lag.

I already tested the current version on Battle.net and its not unplayable, its just like 70-80% less fun. But I think its still enough fun to encourage some players to download the map externally and play it in Singleplayer mode.

Oh lol, looks i have another competitor for the same game type...though mine is made for multiplayer. This seems good tho, but would it be as smooth in a multiplayer setting? Or is this just entirely singleplayer?
