model swap isn't what you're after. you want to use create actor in the werewolf model and destroy model in the civilian model. look at some of the zerg units that morph into something else for examples on where to put the events, such as zergling and baneling. but larva to any other unit is different due to the different ability used. burrow is also different so you can't use ultralisk to copy from.
yea i spoke on the issue previously... it freezes up my editor too. And i have impressive specs.
I didn't place mine in the editor I just loaded up the game. It worked fine until I tried to place my new extractors where it slowed down to about 1 fpm (frames per minute). And I can run StarCraft II on ultra. Although I did learn that the colour on the textures I got is overwritten by the emissive textures.
I have a simple request for whoever wants to do it. I would like a recolour of the extractor's green bits to red and blue. here are the necessary file paths:
Assets\Textures\btn-building-zerg-extractor.dds
Assets\Textures\extractor_diffuse.dds
Assets\Textures\extractor_emissive.dds
Assets\Buildings\Zerg\Extractor\Extractor.m3
I think they will have to be separate models to work properly since I would like to use them alongside the original one.
I would attempt this myself but I would have to get the software, get the importer, learn how to do this simple task... hours of time for me when it's probably a 10 minute job for one of you. :P
have you reworked the cerebrate armour yet? I would very much like to use them as an organic shield generator. I can get by with just the lvl 1 armour but I can't seem to find a link to the dds files.
you would have to use triggers as well as data objects. I cannot see any way of doing it without a large number of validators, effects and other objects for each type of unit it could target.

I would like to humbly request the item above be given a higher priority. It would make using the forum so much easier for many users, myself included.
EDIT: it didn't keep the list format first time around.
here's a tutorial which explains everything
does your item have a class?
since I don't have enough information on your problem I can't help you any more than this.
there is a field called Combat - Attack Target Priority. try changing that till they are targeted. this will ensure they are high priority at all times. if you want them to be high priority only while summoning, I think you'll have to use triggers.
thanks for the help. any idea why blizzard did that? I'm trying to avoid using triggers at all so I'll just use my work around. I think using triggers here when people will be adding and removing these buffs on a regular basis will be very messy. simpler and more reliable to use data editor.
I realised my work around only has 32 buffs and the way I wanted to do it would involve 23. so it's not as big an issue as I originally thought.
this looks very interesting. I'm curious as to how you did the swarm movement. could you explain it to me or show me your map? I will give credit if I decide to use it of course.

Thank you again. You've saved me a lot of trouble. :)
I'll have some more requests in the future but right now I'm going to see how these look.

Thanks a lot. The icons are exactly what I wanted :) . if it's not too much trouble could I get you to do the same to the skins as well?
Thanks in advance.

I had a look myself and I can't find anything in data that would do what you're asking.

I would try copying and pasting within the editor. you should be able to create a mod and open the map and just move it all.

I'm pretty sure the only validators deal with weather the target is in front or not. I can't find any that use the facing of the unit.
