Hi man. Good to hear all is well there. The screenshot looks nice! Is this all from that Noir: Automata campaign you're building? I remember I've put that on my list of stuff to check out once.
Haha, well that regretfully is still lingering somewhere in my mind and I'm yet to see how I'm going to visualize them. And test if what I imagine is actually working.
Hereby I also would like to show off some other WIPs.
I thought of re-inventing my tankdesigns to become a little more cool-looking. Also I wanted to do a new take on the Goliath to provide it with a dual-mode weapon change option.
I'm thinking of going semi Terran/Protoss tech-level or these guys and use a white/grey and blue based exterior and yellow/green emission levels.
I however need to see how my texturizing will be going :P
But the mesh for the tank is nearly complete and the Goliath has the basics.
Hi Edhriano, well.. I'm pretty good once again. Have been ill most of last week but slowly but surely crawling back to actually doing something. As to your question, I'm assuming you'd like to make use of the Forged Adept? The textures that go with her are they ones labeled with "TAdeptForged_..." (these are the easy ones I know) And the second set you'll be wanting to use for her are the ones labeled with "THunterForged_...2" <-- Note the 2 at the end, this is important. And that should be it. If you run into any problems after this please let me know.
First off thanks :) Always good to hear. @ Davespectre: yes I did, implemented also in the mod. @ Veratai: Answered :) @ Edrianho: For me its ok, too bad about the computer though. Hope you'll find a new one, or have it repaired soon :D
Thanks for the ideas and such. as for my design goal for this one. I wanted to use the schoulder plating from the Tempest guy (portrait) because it seemed pretty cool. And I must say it works pretty good.
and I didn't want to use the twin-blade idea because I've already used it multiple times, instead I though of going back to the core. (although that being said a twin-bladed version is easily fixed.)
About the sharper, more edgy feel I've altered the armpads and kneepads. And created some more visual and contrast on the facemask and schoulderspikes.
I feel pretty happy with the current state of the unit.
Please tell me what you think of this bad boy (Attachment)
I've been playing around with the idea of a glowing teamcolor hex. And considering that Blizzard has upped the ante once more with a shitload of new models I though maybe I can use those new spots for some new conversions.
Yes.. I'm sticking to my guns of the Talon a little bit. but hey...
Its not completed yet, it still has some parts that... are iffy. but I though to use this one as a replacement for the Forged Zealot.
Hehehe. Didn't you know, the Talon are basically Always high from the radiation of the Crystals they use to power their stuff, much like the Tal'Darim are high from Terrazine :P
No all joking asside. I never really had any ideas other than... "make em look Talon-ish" which mostly means.. give them some dark and purple shading. But I can see if I can do something about it.
Haha, yeah I wondered when that question came. I would've created it already by now (same for Void Ray) if it wasn't for the minor trouble that I can't import any variation of it in Blender.
If any of you happen to now if anyone has already done Adept and Void Ray portraits please let me know, those models might provide me with a possible workaround.
I tried to change the unit birth event for the actor creation event but that didn't work when the remainder of the setup was unchanged.
From that post from yesterday, I did it again to remove a unit birth event thats higher up in the events list, and tested my map twice now, and it seems to be caused by that event that creates the change.... in my testmap that is.
Attached picture shows which event I mean.
Removing it allowed the Phoenix to correctly warp in as a Scout model when the required upgrade is given to the player.
Its an event that seems to be present for all units.
I'm a little puzzled however as to why that this works??

Hi Guys, A semi new unit is going to arrive as a updated version of the Golem.
Slightly tweaked the armor to be more like a menacing hulking Zealot=type unit and more so telling its own story of being a genetic experiment.
And on experimenting... I'm fiddling with some color adaptions :P
Here's a look
Note: The red glare on the flesh is running across the body as a lightning bolt

Hi guys,
Created a small pack for 3 Gateway units: Zealot, Stalker and Adept.
similar as those they replace, these are the Forged, Talon style.

Sorry, I had it wrong.. Yesterday in my testmap I did something which worked, but I don't remember what it was. however it was not what I wrote here.
Now I'm trying to get it working again, and just NOTHING I try does it. I'm so lost that I'm done looking.
Nothing in the goddamn actor (events or otherwise) looks even in the slightest the cause.
I just do not understand .....
Edit: I also can't find a single reason why the model swap action works for basically any ground unit, and not for the stupid aircrafts....
I've also attached a few screenshots
