While this is a problem, I think it's better in both the short and long run to jump ship now. Barely anyone uses the forum or its resources. Most people presumably find the assistance they need in the discord server. Migrating to a site as active and well-organized as the hive workshop would be a boon to what little is left of the SC2 custom content community and is basically the only shred of hope we have left. There are volunteers who will migrate the knowledge and resources, which can be done as time permits.
At first I didn't like the idea of having only 3 months, but this is a good way to not let maps get out of hand; focus on small 10-30 minute maps. I guess you wouldn't mind if the map was for co-op but also possible to play alone (like SotX)?
That should be fine. If Jay or Deltron have other ideas then they'll hop in, but as far as I'm aware the only prerequisites for a map to be eligible are possible to play in single player and designed from scratch in SC1/SC2/WC3.
Looking back at the rules, is it ok for it to be in the same universe as an existing campaign? It'll have some lore tie ins, but otherwise I plan on making it from scratch (terrain, data, triggers/etc) in the spirit of the competition. I'll wait to start working on the actual map file til the contest officially starts. Just writing down ideas for now.
Yep, I don't see any reason why this would be an issue. As long as you don't sample a level or a script or whatever from other maps I doubt we'd dock you points or anything.
Looking forward to clicking all kinds of buttons in the final product AZB! Lore conversations always make a project feel more 'professional grade', if that makes any sense.
As a side note, your models look great, even up close. Props to you there.
Second nature to you is obviously not second nature to everyone else, or there wouldn't be as many complaints about it. Additionally, it's a restriction that was not there prior to the 'upgrade'.
Who is in charge of approving assets/projects? I've been waiting for a few days and LucidIguana mentioned that he can't approve them himself, despite the message stating the following:
When trying to upload a file to the as-of-yet unapproved asset page, I get this notification:
I'd be willing to accept this procedure if the approval process didn't take so long.
Super excited for this. Classic SCBW is free, remastered will probably be like $20 but whatever. Hopeful that the mapping and modding tools can be ported over without much issue.

We're thinking around a month, but we're still discussing it and we're open to other suggestions.

Looking good!
I like the second shot of Tassadar. His face's texture appears to have more depth thanks to the lighting.

Keep chugging along! Looking forward to playing your campaign one of these days!

I wasn't aware of the file extension issue. Until it is resolved, a notice would avert 99% of future problems.
In the meanwhile, I've updated my asset page with the accepted file formats.

Wasn't me, though I do a mean Dehaka impression.

I really like the low lighting. There don't seem to be a lot of densely-packed details, which is nice, too. Feels very lifelike in a way. Good stuff!

I really like it. Very atmospheric. Great work!
