You can use the "Quote" button (top right of each post) to see the "source" of each message. Find a message with some fancy stuff on it and look how it's done.
The fusion has been announced in the latest news. As for the links I gave to you they are valid. You probably re-used the old one that's why you get 404 errors.
Most polished map may not be the most interesting to play. You will more likely be playing the same map multiple times in order to understand what to do, try to exploit all the weaknesses ... And since the top maps are the most played, it's going to be upper in that list!
