What I was trying to get across, and clearly failed at, is that this is not the right place for a heated debate from your side. But I might just be insensible to your ways of complimenting.
It has nothing to do with convincing, its about facts. I would be the first to say that SC2 is the perfect platform for a TPS/FPS mod, if it were true. Unfortunately, it isnt. And I love TPS/FPS in SC2. But if you want 100% precision and total responsiveness, then SC2 is the wrong platform for you to mod. Thats simply how it is.
I don't think anyone would say that SC2 is the right platform for a shooter. And I, too, am often wondering why something hasn't been done in source/cry/unity when I see a shooter in SC2. However, this is not really the point here. I, at least, expect nobody to stop playing CS or Unreal to play this map instead and I would presume Bounty would not either. It is an impressive entry in this contest, which is not mainly but also supposed to be a demonstration of the capabilities of the editor and, from the video, it seems to work well enough. I would not be surprised to see quite a few players playing a round or two between their other matches.
Yeah, I was actually unpleasantly surprised when I learned that it works like this from hobbidude's comment. I wasn't a fan of the voting in the first place, but now I think that many good maps just won't stand a chance.
However, it still depends on how Blizzard handles the pre-selection.
Except for the 4th and 5th place. Those people just lose xD Makes me actually wonder if this community vote is a good idea. Imagine 4 very good maps making the top 5 and one slightly less so, but this one is well known and has a large player base. Hard to guess who wins.
I've checked a few arcade maps and it seems that game attributes can never be changed once the lobby is public? So the option "Locked when public" is useless?
Try Map -> Game Variants -> "your game variant" -> Player Attributes -> Select the AI player -> Select Controller at the bottom -> at the right choose Computer and locked
Having this issue: A have a game attribute in my map. If you open a game via "create game" you can change that attribute as lobby host, no problem. If you make it public, however, you cannot change it anymore. This is exactly what the option "locked when public" should do, but I did not check that option!

That's what panels are for. In fact, I mostly just create one invisible fullscreen dialog and everything else is done with panels.

Herp derp. I should learn to read carefully. But what my point is still valid. The top 5 maps will probably be maps that are already popular.

The judges decide on the top 5, the community chooses top 3.

Who else does not dare to submit his map? What if there are still bugs left :O

Yeah, I agree. I would have loved to polish zealot hockey, it has an amazing fan base : /
On the bright side, many people said they'd prefer Hover and it's a lot faster too, so maybe it has it's place.

Screenshot in how-to-play does not seem the be required but I'd just use the same screen there as well if I were you - looks better.
