Hey, i wanted to create stuff with banks to create a highscore, but i eventually didn´t because it seemed that banks are never going to be that accurate cause they sometimes reset randomly and i guess players can also adjust them.
I got a really cool idea for a new map, but to make it work i would have to make the selected unit being able to move trough the arrow keys or if not possible other key inputs of the keyboard. My first idea how to make something like this work is, for example:
make 4 abilies for moving :
move-right: faces unit to the right and lets it move + on the x-axis.
move-left: faces unit to the left and lets it move - on the x-axis.
move-forward: faces unit forward and lets it move + on the y-axis.
move-backwards: faces unit backwards and lets it move - on the y-axis.
then give the abilities shorcuts to the arrow keys.
Im not sure if this is even possible, does anyone have any experience with this, or knows a map which demonstrates this?
also would this be easier trough the data or trigger editor.

Today i downloaded the beta editor and opend my map, then this param/value/3252blablabla shows up everywhere in my scoreboard and stuff but atleast my map is still working.., so i read online to just open up the map, save it as a component file, i reopen it in the new editor press ctrl-f9 and it keeps on saying "unable to open map" now im just not being able to play the map and it just pisses me off so much cause 1.5 is near release date.... Why does thiiiss havvee toooo happpppeeeen tooo meee!! >:(
anyone who can help me?

I totally followed this little localization tutorial by Zeldarules28 and now it all works fine, also param/value/blabalbalba is gone! THNX!
yeh well thats why i said i dont know what the penetrator round is, im just trying to help out cause im pretty sure if i create the ability which i stated as the solution to your problem, it will pretty much work.
Hey i just wanted to ask because i installed the beta today and saw a lot of ppl already published their map in the arcade beta, so do these people already have advantage on me? should i also publish my map in the beta? or will the whole thing reset july 31?
Nahh it isn't working, I give up... i also tried making the modelportrait static but also didn't have any luck there becus for the actor field you can only put .m3 ... then i tried making a modelportait and set image to the lichking image but ...............................................................
I dont know what penetrator round is or whatever but, you can probably make an ability which fires this penetrator round, then you add an area search which applies a damage effect that will kill the unit or apply a buff that destroys the unit, set the search to max 8 targets.
i dont know if it works though, just giving ideas :p
add an animationactor to the King that plays the animation of the queen - shockwave ability whenever he dies, whenever unit "King" dies "create" queen - shockwave animation, scale it too really big, then set the duration for the animation playing to looong.
make a behavior for the infection, fire an event whenever the king dies, pick each unit in entire map and apply the behavior.
i dont even know if its possible, im just throwing things out here :p

no but i would say that if you put the first line and you have 8 players like in my game, you have to make 8 triggers.
But the second way you can check multiple players in 1 trigger i guess.
Also i would check if the button is actually visible for the player else if you click the button on bttlenet rappidly it will trigger more than once.

set a requirement for the upgrade whenever allowed use: the upgradecount for that player must be less than 1.
some other stuff will make you decide if the upgrade is greyed out or it disappears, its easy to find out.
