this works for me fine. also i think you need change your display portrat to static img not motion gif
In australia we have a forum which allows for multiple areas of assistance so can get help with programming and other things in a good environment with no bullying but there isnt anything on sc2 editor but general sc2 talk there is a bit.
but there a few exceptional people that are annoying.

you can have it as event: unit enters notallowed action: move unit instantly to point allowed something like that.
so it teleports units out of area when ever they enter and give it a condition that unit belongs to team whatever
i saw that in the chain lightning one mega hectic in the effect tab!!! i understood the concept but didnt really think into it much and didnt think it was gonna need that many for 1 ability plus sooo many more needed just for it being upgradeable >.<
yep it can be done.
just need an ability and some behaviours.
or can be done with an ability of type research and upgrades.
Edit: actually looks like it can only be done by ability of type research and upgrades.
(i cant seem to get cost working for behaviours :P, and the units effected by the behaviour :P)

greyed out sounds like its a requirement issue unless he didnt add the lvl 2 and above to the learn ability and just has lvl 1

but yaaa gottta be careful and change it a bit so it dont kill them both.

Titan look at the requirements that are used for melee games eg terran infantry weapons lvl1 2 or 3 and do something similar to theirs.

nah there is ment to be a line in the map initialization trigger that you have to delete onetwosc posted it in one of his vids(http://www.youtube.com/user/OneTwoSC?blend=2&ob=1#p/c/AE2AD4DC5E8FF7AE/0/2ktGRw95eLM) at start he says theres a problem and just delete 1 action melee - set default melee options for all players.
