Yeah, they look a bit weird from that perspective. They're positioned perfectly, but apparently they look a bit weird with how they're rendered. Might need to adjust their positions to take that into account.
You're going to want to use banks for storing any kind of data between different map sessions. Here's a tutorial by OneTwo to help you learn the basics if you aren't already familiar with banks.
I'm not entirely sure that I understand your question. Are you saying that you want to, say, raise the cliffs by one level, but only cliffs that are at level 1?
That aside, however, are we allowed to have it "playable" from a perspective other than the default SC2 perspective? If so then may I add in a very basic 1st/3rd person system to move around in-game?
That jungle terrain is looking quite nice. It feels very akin to Diablo 3's terrain, at least to me. You seem to have found just the right fog and lighting settings. That, along with the fantastic background detail really builds an amazing sense of atmosphere.
Eh, I'm not sure I'd say it looks a whole lot like Stromgarde. The keep model for this is very similar to the model used in Stromgarde, though the majority of the inspiration came from Minas Tirith, with the terraces, minus the rock jutting out the middle.

You would need to use text tags in the trigger editor to accomplish that, unless you want to try to make text out of some of the decal doodads.

Well, the playability of the terrain will be more evident when I am done. Also, if you like ceilings, then you are going to like the terrain. ;)
Anyway, here is another preview.

This may not be the best of plans for you. This type of program has been done before, and has been disapproved by Blizzard.

Excellent.
Here's a little preview.

To reiterate my question, to what degree can I use triggering to enhance the playability of my terrain?

Alas, you are a bit late for a Mozared portrait. We were supposed to remove them yesterday.

Truly a magnificent creature.

I've been toying with it a bit more, in particular, the façade of the keep.
Also, as per your request, here it is on low settings. (I actually think this looks surprisingly nice.)
Edit: Here is a daytime version of the terrain, without the trees.

I've been trying to work on another. Here's how it's looking so far.
