I'm trying to have a weapon have a set damage, and an additional damage value that happens at the same time but the second one isn't reduced by armor.
The weapon is the SCV's Fusion cutter, so it is melee.
The thing is it seems to only allow one effect per weapon.
I tried making two weapons, one with the normal damage effect and the other with the armor-ignoring damage effect, but it only uses the normal weapon.
I'm trying to make a mod, and you need to have a default test map setup in preferences to test it. So I made a blank map, put an SCV on it, made the game speed Faster, and tried to test the mod. It keeps saying "Unable to open map."
for the path, I just put the file name of the map, which is just in the Maps folder, not in a subfolder. I also tried Maps/Mapname.SC2Map but that didn't work either. How do I get this to work?
But I'm not really looking for a shooter-type system (not at the moment anyway, but thanks for the link, i'm sure i'll find it useful if I want to do that sort of thing.) I'm just trying to make this brood lord attack normally but have his missile dodgable.
Surely I don't have to go through all that to do something that was very simple in war3, right?
I searched but could not find anything about this.
I'm trying to make a brood lord's weapon non-homing.
I tried making the effects of the weapon target a point instead of unit or unit/point
This seemed to have worked, but then I found that the brood lord wasn't actually doing any damage, even if the unit it was attacking just stood there.
So decided to add a search area to the escort damage effect, then it turned out that even with the radius at 0, the brood lord would hit no matter what.

The acquire radius is 10 and the unit's sight range is 11 but the problem still occurs.

SCVs in my map won't continue looking for more minerals to mine once the one they were mining depletes. What value affects this?

How do I make a supply depot have the 'extra supplies' look by default?

It worked, thanks!

Wow, are you serious?
That doesn't even make sense.
Ideally you want to test something to make it ready to be published.

It won't seem to let me add a search to anything but the damage effect.
