Hi all, Im getting this weird problem, my map crashes when I open it in the editor. It crashes at "Creating actors" I already tried deleting the map editor registry files, no luck. Here is my error report:

Hi all, it took me a while to figure this out, but it's actually pretty easy. I'm going to show you how to make your units get dropped into the battlefield, just like the Merc-compound.
Set up a new map, any size will do. Go into the Data editor (F7) and choose a building that you want to drop your units in from. I'm choosing the barracks, but you can choose any building. Im just going to edit the barracks like it is.
Then delete all the units command cards, except the marine (You could make all the units in the barracks dropable, but I'm just gonna do the marine) It should look like this BTW you should delete rally too, the drop pod thing does not work with rally, it just falls in it's normal place
(When deleting rally, delete the Command card, and the ability in Abilities)
Then go to the effects tab, search for MULE. Then go to Calldown MULE (Timed Life) If you don't edit this, your unit will have a timed life when he is dropped in. Inside Calldown MULE (Timed Life) go to behaviors and set it to none. It should look like this:
Then go back to the units tab. Go to the barracks. Inside barracks go to Barracks - Train Then go to ability info and double click the marine.
It should look like this:
Then an window will open, scroll all the way down Look at the last value: Info Effect In the drop down box, choose Calldown MULE (Create Set)
I've tried everything, looked at the merc units, copied their behaviors to the units I want to drop in, looked at the merc building and copied that behaviors to my building. I have even added my unit to the merc compound. I really need help guys.
Thanks for the reply, I'll try the requirement thing later. I played around with the drop pod settings, but now the units are coming down, but there is now Drop-Pod model? I looked for a model, but I can't find one.
Hey, Im new to the Starcraft 2 editor, and Im having some problems. I want a building to be able to drop down units. Just like the Merc Compound in the campaign. I have found a marine Drop-Pod example file, but its not helping much (The marine Drop-Pod file is Drop-Pods that a Ghost calls down, and I cant figure out how to implant that into the thing I want)
BTW, how can I set a limit on units that can be made?

I figured it out. I had too many copies of the same actors, so it was overloaded, and crashed. Thanks all you guys for trying to help :)

It works when I open it up in the data editor.
And when I open the Terrain editor from the Data Editor, it crashes at Unit Palletes

It started after I added some enemies into my map. I screwed up, can't remember what I did, but when I tried to test, it crashed.

Hi all, it took me a while to figure this out, but it's actually pretty easy. I'm going to show you how to make your units get dropped into the battlefield, just like the Merc-compound.
Set up a new map, any size will do. Go into the Data editor (F7) and choose a building that you want to drop your units in from. I'm choosing the barracks, but you can choose any building. Im just going to edit the barracks like it is.
Then delete all the units command cards, except the marine (You could make all the units in the barracks dropable, but I'm just gonna do the marine) It should look like this BTW you should delete rally too, the drop pod thing does not work with rally, it just falls in it's normal place (When deleting rally, delete the Command card, and the ability in Abilities)
Then go to the effects tab, search for MULE. Then go to Calldown MULE (Timed Life) If you don't edit this, your unit will have a timed life when he is dropped in. Inside Calldown MULE (Timed Life) go to behaviors and set it to none. It should look like this:
Then go back to the units tab. Go to the barracks. Inside barracks go to Barracks - Train Then go to ability info and double click the marine. It should look like this:
Then an window will open, scroll all the way down Look at the last value: Info Effect In the drop down box, choose Calldown MULE (Create Set)
Then it should look like this:
Now it should work:

I've tried everything, looked at the merc units, copied their behaviors to the units I want to drop in, looked at the merc building and copied that behaviors to my building. I have even added my unit to the merc compound. I really need help guys.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try the requirement thing later. I played around with the drop pod settings, but now the units are coming down, but there is now Drop-Pod model? I looked for a model, but I can't find one.

Hey, Im new to the Starcraft 2 editor, and Im having some problems. I want a building to be able to drop down units. Just like the Merc Compound in the campaign. I have found a marine Drop-Pod example file, but its not helping much (The marine Drop-Pod file is Drop-Pods that a Ghost calls down, and I cant figure out how to implant that into the thing I want)
BTW, how can I set a limit on units that can be made?
