What did you need for your map? I didn't see a description O_O Each map is probably different which means your map may have different needs so describe away ;-)
I honestly depends on what he wants, If he just wants a flat foundation, or a patch of rubble, a simple model with normal maps and textures could be made.
But to make a quick model on it, he really needs to provide a more detailed description in regards to what he exactly wants made. The description above about buildings show paths just kind of throws me off.
The Stickied thread states most of this as the following:
When requesting 3D assets
Include the target polycount, texture size, color scheme and style of the model
Include as many reference pictures as possible. General idea, shilouettes, detail pieces, materials etc.
Try to describe the asset in as much detail as you can
So did you want a special pedestal model? A model that was a bunch of rubble-ey looking concrete bricks stacked together as a foundation for a building as pictured above? Or did you just want a repeating concrete brick 'texture' that you can paint on terrain?
How many do you need? How many different variants would be a good solid number (and I know the ideal answer is 'The More The Better!') - I'm currently working on another project. But I mean >.> Textured Spheres ... I could probably whip a new one up each week/ect
So I'm totally going to step on toes by asking this -
Does the reaver model you are requesting HAVE to look like the bizarre detached simplistic model that they had in the alpha?
Or would you be content if someone made a brand new reaver model that looked something like the reaver combined with the polish of the current colossus model?
Let me clarify -
Something that looks like the classic SCI Reaver - (how it actually looks like a big bug) but with more of the more up to date look - just taking the current protoss style, using the Colossus and the Carrier as a basis (they have a look - there is a design "standard" they follow"

Did you ever get this issue addressed? My first though on it is that something is wrong with the model's surface normals.

Did you ever get someone to make these for you?
